QJ Flash Competition Commencing [Date Change] |
TeamOverload from our forums has started a 2.70 Flash
Competition. This is much like Hardrive's competition earlier this month, but
the reward has been improved, and hopefully more contestants will enter. I, as
FrozenIpaq, am fully supporting this competition and hope that you will all
enter who have knowledge of flash producing. We will be grateful for all
entries received.
So, I'm proud to announce our forums first
"official" flash competition. This competition will not only include
applications and games, but also flash portals. Although, these will be split
into two categories of Flash Portals and Flash Games/Applications. The contest
was originally for portals, but we have extended it for all flash applications,
but separated portals from games/apps to ensure a "fair" fight. So,
now that you know there are two flash categories, you are probably wondering
what the prizes are.
There are small prizes for each category which include -
Flash Portals -
1st Place - 25,000 forum points + Free Premium Membership +
Free Custom User Title
2nd Place - 10,000 forum points + Free Custom User Title
3rd - 5,000 forum points OR Free Custom User Title.

Applications/Games
1st Place - 25,000 forum points + Free Premium Membership +
Free Custom User Title
2nd Place - 10,000 forum points + Free Custom User Title
3rd - 5,000 forum points OR Free Custom User Title.
Now, you are probably wondering how the voting/choosing is
operated. This of course, will be where you come in. At the end of the
competition we will have a forum poll that will allow all of our users to vote
for who they think should win. So, the winners of the competition are not chosen
by us, but you!
If you are interested in this contest, all of the
requirements are listed below or in the forum thread.
[UPDATE] The deadline is now July 29th, this should be enough to make some good flash applications/games.
Requirements
Flash Portals
Objective: The objective is to create the greatest flash portal. The winner will be determined by a poll.
1. Must be an original portal
2. Must be compatible with the PSP browser
3. Must contain at least ONE of your own flash games in the portal
4. Any other games included, must have proper credit
5. All submissions must be in by July 29th.
6. After July 11th there will be a one week poll to determine the winner.
Flash Games/Applications

yeh im all for mario!
I don't know what you guys are expecting, there needs to be at least a week or two more in advance. Maybe you guys are thinking some people will make a simple pong game but for somthing that is like an adventure, we need more time.

what are forum points?
Forum Points are things in which Premium Members can use to buy a new username, change their custom title, steal points from other people, change color of name, italicize or bold name, etc. The real prize for this contest is the free premium membership, hopefully that will not go unoticed. It's nice not seeing ads on the site ;)
We should hold these tri monthly or bi monthly. Becuase I love flash. You'll see a submission from me

Hello,
I will be sending in a Flash version of my Tricked Out Skateboarding game for the PSP browser. I was going to send it in before school starts in the end of august so I guess I have lots of work to do!!
I hope you guys enjoy simulation games. Should be easy to play since there is only arrows, joystick and X that I you use to control the game on a PSP Web Browser.
If anyone has a 2.70 PSP please email me to test it out since i'm on a 1.50 PSP: cubicpixel{a}ho tmail.com

Damn, there was me thingking money and material possessions were the only thing of value in this world. Thank you for opening my eyes /end sarcasm.
i dont get why everyone likes all the old games on new consoles and stuff... like mario.. it was great back then but why waste time with it now... i honestly thing people should leave old games out and try to do something NEW... but no offense to the old games because they were great and everything
The comment @13 is useless concidering that you can enjoy newer games better by playing older ones here and there. No offence. Other than that, they are not the same. They load faster and are the easiest way to play for 5 min on the go.
Flash games are loaded directly with the web browser, enabeling you to skip the PSP loading (saves time for quick game play).
You just got to have good ones to appriciate them.
