Rock Band Unplugged - Image 1

If Retribution and Resistance 2 had some form of "Infected mode", could Rock Band have something similar? In case some of you guys were hoping for this, Harmonix and MTV Games wants you to know that Rock Band: Unplugged for the PSP will definitely be unplugged. Unplugged from the PS3 version, that is.

Ever since the handheld spinoff was announced, people were hoping that Rock Band and/or Rock Band 2 for the PS3 might be able to have some connectivity features with Unplugged - maybe share songs or unlock special content. This notion was shot down by Harmonix, telling 1Up last week at a game demonstration that the feature was not going to happen.

Stupid of them. On top of that, not adding an extra peripheral isn't going to help them much in curbing piracy.

» good and bad

good because i have rockband for 360 and i woulda been pissed only ps3 user could use their ps3 content on the psp but it is also bad because of it, i think they would sell more if it does have that feature.

» You're stupid.

Bad because you don't own a PS3? That's not bad at all! It only sucks for you, which should never be a factor in whether or not to include such a feature.

I'm kind of bummed that RB2 songs can't be ported over to the PSP tho... especially all of those ones I downloaded!

» I know huh?

It's like they're trying to make the game not as good as it should be (Then again, its a PSP, but no peripheral? come on!).

Although does anyone think its cause of the data limit on the UMD?

» sad

even the ds had a peripheral. that made even piraters have to purchase something to play the game with. but hey sony hasnt proven yet to be the smartest company yet. blue ray hasnt been taken advantage of yet and some developers like hideo kojima has had problems using blue ray.

» Half of your statement makes sense

Well, its true that the DS had a peipheral, stopping pirates at least in one way. But what do you mean when you say "blue ray hasn't been taken advantage of yet"? If you mean it's storage space, well, its not like all Xbox 360/Wii games use up all the space on their discs.
