PSP version of ModNation Racers spotted on GameStop

GameStop has joined GameFly in crowing about a PSP version of United Front Games' ModNation Racers PS3 kart racing game.

Similar to the GameFly listing, the one from GameStop has the title "ModNation" listed separately from the game's PS3 listing. The main difference here is the projected release date. GameFly had it down for February 2010 while GameStop thinks it'll ship no earlier than June 2010.

Sony has played the "no comments on rumors and speculation" card again regarding this issue.

man, I'm happy that the PSP gets some games, but all games seem to be bad ports of PS3 games. AC: Bloodlines, LBP PSP, Rock Band Unplugged, Tekken 6, Motorstorm Arctic Ege and now even ModNation Racers. These are not neccessary bad games, but they're far off from the greatness of the PS3 counterparts. I'm not talking about graphics here, I'm talking about gameplay.

The PSP needs "own" good games. Innovative games. Games you want to play if you are in a train or in a plane.

If you want to play Tekken, Motorstorm or Assassins Creed you go home and turn on PS3 or 360, not your PSP.

How high are you right now? You must be extremely baked because LBP PSP is an AMAZING portable game. And seriously, WTF do you expect a portable AC game to look/play like? I swear modern people are so spoiled by Moore's law they come off like a bunch of wusses.

The problem with the PSP getting it's "own" as stated above is the level of pirating on the PSP system, most companies would only be losing money creating a game that works exclusively for the PSP system. Instead by porting the games (making a counterpart using much of the same scripts and what not just with lower level graphics) serves as a small money grab for larger companies who have made a great game for the ps3 but don't want to waste their money creating a full game exclusively for the PSP system. All and all the PSP is far to unreliable of a system to generate a large cashflow for the developers.

oh and the DS is? and since when did the PSP Go! have public CFW? and since when has less than 10% of PSP owners with CFW have "PSP is far to unreliable of a system" if you should be talking about a system it should be the DS or hell even the PC!!! and as for "to generate a large cashflow for the developers" oh yeah like i'm gonna pay 50-60$ for a 2 hour game?
