Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2 - Image 1You can safely say that compatibility is one of the main problems behind Yu-Gi-Oh! video games. Since there are many different versions of the games, you can't exactly play against another person who owns a different game from what you have.

That is, until the advent of the PS2 game, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny.

According to a press release from Konami, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny actually has the ability to allow a PS2 gamer and a PSP gamer to connect online and play against one another. While the PS2 gamer uses Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny, the PSP gamer can connect with him using Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2.

We certainly hope it isn't the last we hear of such features. It'd certainly be interesting to see other games following suit, allowing PS3 and PSP gamers to battle each other using their respective platforms.
