PSP homebrew - LameCraft rev. 98

Here's the latest version of LameCraft, homebrew dev Drakon's Minecraft clone for the PSP.

 

 

 

Changelog:

  • more blocks - 45 now
  • in-game option menu when you can activate fly mode - for people that want build something
  • in-game option menu when you can save game without exit
  • option menu in main menu where you can adjust analog stick sensitivity
  • option menu in main menu when player can set their own keys to actions
  • crosshair on the screen
  • 3 types of terrain - like now(default),winter type,desert type - all set randomly
  • fixed that nasty bug from previous version that corrupted all graphics....


Developer's note:

LameCraft - game inspired by Minecraft, where you can destroy or build block world. Each time world is randomly generated.

 

Steering in game:

  • Analog stick - walking
  • Cross,Square,Circle,Trian gle - rotating
  • Select - jump
  • Left,right - switching blocks
  • Right trigger - place block
  • Left trigger - remove block
  • Start - menu

 

This brew is also the devs entry for the ongoing PSP Genesis Competition 2011.

Wondering how close to ACTUAL minecraft this is aiming to be. I mean the engine seems solid, at least in the scale it's at. Graphically looks great. Just wondering if we can make it like the game itself.

Hell yes! I'm not sure if the dev coded this in mind for older 1000 models or not. Slims, Brites, and Gos are much more faster. Perhaps make different releases for the users with higher-performance models? Again, not sure if it matters for this or not, makes a huge difference in Emulation so...

Great release anyways dude! Another idea for a future update could be... custom skinning? The graphics seem to be exactly the same, adding in custom skinning shouldn't be all that difficult ;)

I don't think this will be able to be like the Minecraft Beta, unless like you said, that the dev would make different versions for the various PSP models.
It's just to bad we don't have dual analogs, I hope the creator decides to continue this on the NGP if it gets hacked.

its really great dude i build alot of things but it needs more updates like
animals,the getting woods or other stuff needs to have actions and a hand,and a character and Weapons and even the Monsters.
THIS WILL BE SO AWSOME! ILL SHARE IT TO THE WORLD!!. haha..

even its a nock off who cares..
