The DaedalusX64 team has published the latest build of their Nintendo 64 emulator project for the PlayStation Portable. Now on revision 727, the latest update of the emulator includes the following features and enhancements:

DaedalusX64

Changelogs:

  • Revision 727
    • [!] Reverted changes from CodeGenPSP (it wasn't meant to be committed yet)
  • Revision 726
    • [=>] Merged from Dev branch:
      • Rev 363 - Salvy
        • [!] inlined GetChunkStartAddress and AddressToChunkMapIndex (saving ~20 ops)
        • [!] Made ContainsAddress debug only
      • Rev 364 - Salvy
        • [+] Added QuickWrite_Long/QuickRead_Long (these are usually 50% faster when the compiler isn't able to optimize Read64Bits/Write64Bits, mostly happens when we need to combine two FPU registers into one long )
        • [!] Use QuickRead_Long for LDC1 (~24 ops)
      • Rev 365 - Salvy
        • [!] Revert previous commit, need to test further
      • Rev 366 - Corn
        • [+] Started work on DKR/JFG custom ucodes (WIP)
      • Rev 367 - Corn

        • [!] Simplified parameters for SetTile/SetTileSize
        • [!] Simplified setting pitch tile

Developer's note:

This release of DaedalusX64 is currently in beta stages of development.

As for the past releases of Daedalus PSP, this project is intended to show the potential for a N64 emulator on the PSP, but the currentrelease has many missing features that make it far from usable:

  • Many roms won't boot.
  • Some roms have serious graphical glitches.
  • Various roms have random lockups and crashes.
  • Many roms run at a low framerate.

Having said all that, We believe most of these problems can be overcome in the near future.

Installation:

  • Copy the Daedalus folder to the \PSP\GAME\ folder on your PSP.
  • Daedalus requires Custom Firmware 4.00 or higher, failing to install CFW 4.00 or higher will mean Daedalus does not load past the firmware check screen.

Upgrade Procedure

  • Remove all HLE files from the SaveGames folder
  • Remove rom.db and preferences.ini
  • This will ensure that Daedalus is fresh.

Nice you are shareing now both ver.
but a kind of outdated signing tool ;-) if someone want the signed eboot i provide i reply. The signed.pbp file is 923kb the orginal unsigned is ~1400kb. .. or sign and shrink it yourself with easypbprx

I am running CFW 5.00 M33. What is the benefit of the signed version compared to the unsigned version? Aside from the small size difference.
