PSP Go UK price not yet confirmed |
Ó

Newly appointed SCEE boss Andrew House has proven to be one slippery dude when it comes to talking about the UK pricing for the PSP Go.
House declined to confirm anything when asked by GamesIndustry.biz about the hefty GBP 229.99 (US$ 374) PSP Go price tag seen on several UK retailer sites. He was also asked about the possibility of the handheld getting a price tag lower than GBP 200, to which he answered,
We'll give it full and due consideration at the price point that we think is right for the business model and the consumer.
Interestingly, House thinks that European consumers aren't as price-driven as other markets. I don't know about you guys, but all that says to me is that gamers in the UK better be ready to shell out a lot of dough for the Go.

Makes a change. Of course it will be expensive here!
If it is £229.99 i aint buying it also its even more expensive then a Xbox 360 elite!!! wtf!
good cos at 230 it a complete rip off when i can get the 300 for 130.
i meant the 3000
i live in uk and im wouldnt even consider it if it cost £200÷ because you can buy a bt adapter for psp for under £10 and you can make it internal not to mention the modded internal cam and sd's and touch screen if you dont believe me check out acidmods
I just realized something that I don't think I've seen mentioned before. How in the world are TATE type PSP games going to work well on this new design? I play both Pinball Hall of Fames, Namco Battle, Star Soldier, and a couple of other titles that make use of veritcal modes which I enjoy. If Raiden Project, Donpachi, etc. ever make it to the US PSN store they would be in the same boat. Any thoughts?
If anyone's stupid enough to pay £230 then Sony deserves to take your money, if i decide i want one i'll import one from cheaper country because $250 is only £155 right now and probably even cheaper in october.
If it's cheaper to import then that's a massive fail for SCEE. I'll import one, assuming I decide it's worth paying out for a downgraded PSP. Muppets.
I knew this was going to be a money grab for them. I will never buy this pos!
i will never buy it either. theres a lot i could do with $374. like spending it on a Radeon HD 4870.
Something tells me that Sony is gonna screw over the European gaming community once again. It should be 200€ max for people to consider buying it, especially when comparing the standard of life between Europeans and Americans. It just doesn't make sense that the US would get it at a cheaper price when they make more money than we do.
what a rip off! No thanks. I am stick with my PSP 1001k. I will buy if they release brand new PSP2.. It is the next PSP 4000 after PSP 3000.. Nah.
I just got the 4870 for my Mac Pro (dual booting Windows) :oD
