According to Gaming Console Network, the PSP Go looks like this:
Okay. Kinda fugly, but that's alright. GCN also said that it will have 16GB memory (this is on-board, I think) and another memory slot, presumably for a memory stick. The price is still TBA and the release is this fall. Also, the PSP Go won't be replacing the PSP 3000. Instead they'll be both sold side by side.

And finally, here's a video of the Qore episode that talks about the PSP Go. Listen carefully for the launch titles. I heard LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo (which will supposedly be announced at E3), Jak and Daxter, and a new Metal Gear Solid. Is this the new Metal Gear that's being teased?

Not only do they release this crap with no Disc-cartridge-anything for games to be bought in, but they don't add a second analog or L2R2 buttons either. This better still just be a PSP, and the PSP2 better be off in the horizon. Or better yet, this is hopefully fake.
If you listen he mentions renting games, so it looks like the game rental service might be coming.

I think it looks pretty sick.......16GB onboard memory is pretty sweet too...I thought that they'd definately add a second analog though....I'm still confused... so this is not going to replace the psp3k?....does that mean all the best new games released will work on both or will the psp go ones be better or what?.
Bigger than the effective confirmation of the PSP Go!, I'm more excited about this news of the next MGS being on the PSP. I looooved MGS PO.
I like it. I have 2 psp 2ks one OFW one CFW. After seeing this, I think my son is about to get my OFW and I'm gonna get this. A co-worker said he read somewhere that stores may be Kiosks to "rip" our UMDs.
The purpose of this is to test a smaller psp with a built in memory with no umd. The specs are probably the same, the only difference seems to be blue tooth and the 16GB. They don't want to get rid of the UMD using 3000 yet because games are still comming out on umd. So think of it as a psp 3000 with no umd and onboard memory, thats a little smaller. I wish they would have put a camera on it though. I wonder if the camera will even fit on this thing?
think of this PSP Go as a PSP model 4000.
this won't work as a PSP2, it won't get dedicated games, it is just like any other current model of the PSP, just a new desgin and features.
and i like the look of it, and it's quite a bit smaller, definately something i would consider having in my pocket.
the older PSPs were just a bit too big for the average pocket, but this looks just perfect the "PSP Go" indeed

And this thing is very pretty and portable. If they added a touchscreen and an accelerometer, then they beat the Ipod Touch "AND" the DSi which was never good to begin with :P. I love the bluetooth support and now I really want to buy a bluetooth headset!! If there is a touchscreen, then you'd be able to controll it while it isn't open.
They made it prettier than all the fake pics that I've seen. My only wish is that the specs are even "better" than the psp 3000 so that they could make special games for only that console.
Yes that picture looks like the PSP is very well crafted. The one Sony is displaying kind of looks, just a tad bit cheap. Just make it glossy like the 2000/3000. The hands in the first picture of more shinier then the PSP.
but come on, why does the world need a new PSP. The ones already out looks,plays,and feels great. In my opinion there wasting time and money. The idea to remove the UMD door is a odd attempt to either make you actually use the PSN or (lol) go out there and probably get a PSP 1001 or a 2001 and have a CFW (Like my self). Just imagine this. the side that scrolls out sorta gets caught on a old tiny fabric or a piece of cloth and the scroll out door pretty much gets jammed and when you pull it to hard it comes apart Then your ****ed in the rear. Personally and my honest option the PSP has a Excellent go right now. People are obsessive about the touch screens that's going on and are wanting it in Everything possible, such as a TV,PC,Video Games, hell maybe in virtual $&x . come on people touch screen is OK (the DS did it good though I have to admit) well get mad at this post if you will but my point stays.

I agree with you 1001 *****ing %. There doesn't need to be a new psp. If my PSP ever got *****ed up I wouldn't buy a *****ty 3000 model or this new garbage. I would hunt down until I find an exact model and redo it all over. Call me old-school but yeah...
PSN store is stupid, UMDs should not be discontinued. Its kinda like having a record or CD collection. What've u got to show with a stupid *****ing download code? Nothing.
And another thing. ***** touchscreen. Sony would've designed it in the first place if they wanted it or thought it was a good idea.

i haven't actually been able to watch that video i can watch other youtube videos so i think one of there servers must be down but i like the look of it and i'm guessing it would be smaller with that new screen so it will fit in my pocket and i will be able to carry it around easier plus i don't play most of my old umd games so i don't mind that i wont be able to use them with this psp as i just download new games from the PS store now anyway so i reckon this will be awesome. and if Sony did add a second analog stick they could have made it do the ^xo[] (like that dual analog mod) but i don't mind that they didn't as im fine without it anyway. I am not a serious gamer or anything though so my opinion is different than most peoples , i use my psp for about an hour tops a day and that includes listening to music for half of English period.

Nintendo hasnt even released a DS2 yet. The fact that Nintendo released the DS before the PSP, most likely will mean that Sony won't release a new gen PSP till the DS2 comes out.

naming conventions aside, this confirmation teaches me two things.
1) John Koller is nothing but a big fat liar for always always denying all those rumors in the past. "there is no new psp in the works" "we have no plans of..." "there will be no new hardware announcements..." etc etc etc. John Koller you suck. but we love you anyway.

Don't forget that those 16 gigs of ram will only be usable for official playstation downloads. That is unless someone is able to hack it. Sony did not put in that kind of memory just so you can load it with iso/cso's .

Yes that is total bull*****. That is why I like the PSP, for the screen. PSP 1/2/3000 are 4.3 inches, and this one is 3.8. Get the ***** out of here, and it subtracts a lot of cool features, so again, get the ***** out of here. I'm not buying this.

after looking at this. i can probably safely say. i still love my PSP-2000. =). sides. i don't really watch anything on the go. its either me playing my Fifa 2009 or DJMAX on the go. all the time.
if it had 16 Gigabyte of ram, the PSP would be the computer/console with the most ram on the market!!
it has 16GB memory on it's internal Flash drive (Hard disk drive)... it doesn't have 16GB ram... if it keeps the same amount of ram since the update of ram from PSP model 2000, it has 64 Megabyte ram...
the first time i saw that it was awesome, but it really is ugly as hell, i prefer Sonys' version.
also, if they made the PSP square, it would look old-ish and boring, whereas its current shape makes it look more futuristic...
if it had a second analog stick, it would become the PSP2, which means that the first few PSPs wouldn't be able to play the new games, since the support for the 2nd analog stick... they won't add a 2nd analog stick untill they reach the actual PSP2... when do people get this?
however, it could be doen like with the nintendo DSi, where it has a camera, and the previous version don't which means new games will support this, but it isn't a needed feature, thus they make it compatible with odler versions... but again, with the PSP, a 2nd analog stick would change they way of playing the games completely... it will have to be named "PSP2" before you get your god-forsaken second analog stick... i know i suck at explaining, but it's really quite logical... hope a few more people reads it this time, so we can get rid of that request!

The PSP Go is more for mobile phone users and attracts to people like that. The PSP Go and PSP 3000 will be sold with different aspects in mind, so keep that in mind.

No, it wouldn't necessarily be a PSP2. There's mods of PSP's with a second one. I don't really want one but that's why other people may not buy it. I think it'll be easier for people to drop them if it had two.
The 2nd analog stick could be the equivalent to the Cross, Square, Circle, and Triangle button like it does in mods people have done.
People aren't asking for a PS3 Portable, they're asking to get rid of minor annoyances.
So, no, I don't see why the company could have put something in that new games wouldn't require. That's like saying the Gameboy Light should have had Gameboy Light specific games because of it's backlight.
ok for all you people crying "what do i do with all my old UMDs if this doesnt have UMD slot on it... HERES WHAT YOU DO... (if you have cfw that is)
1)take your old PSP with umd slot and insert UMD
2)in VSH menu set usb device to UMD drive, NOT memory stick
3)reboot PSP
4)attach psp to computer via USB cable
5) drag the ISO9660 image OFF of the "diskdrive" your PC reads the PSP as, and rename it.
now youve made an ISO of your legally owned UMD game and can copy it to your UMDless PPSgo. And, you did it without downloading any special software. just dont forget to open your vshmenu back up and set the usb device back to memory stick or you wont be able to play your games.
NOW QUIT WHINING ABOUT WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR OLD UMDS!

Two analog sticks would be likely in PSP2 not PSPGo!
If Sony decide that PSP2 will have backwards compatibility, it would most likely disable the use of the secondary stick for legacy games.

I think you misunderstood what they were saying. The PSP Go! comes with 16 GB of internal memory, like a hard drive. Not RAM, or else it would be really freaking expensive. It probably only has 64 MB of RAM.
