Crazy how the PS2 still outsells the PS3. The great sales on CC:FFVII doesn't surprise me though. It's FFVII!!
A big shot huh? 15k to 95k, lol. I mean, it's like my salary that start at 15k and then, the next week, wow, 95k, lol. I'd be happy (surely like sony are right now). Anyway, I suppose that when FF13/mgs4 will pop, the ps3 will sell like crazy while halo3 will drive x360 sales. It's a bit normal since we buy the hardware for one and only reason, to play the games we love (nobody love the hardware, they love the games).
Anyway I'm gonna buy my ps3 in the holiday sales (still hoping for a price drop or at least a bundle with the dual shock 3 or a game).
if MGS4 and FF13 comes out---blows M$ in the dust.
Hopefully the PS3 will have a good run ust like the PS2 :)
PS2 here in China is also selling really well because the price has dropped dramatically and the number of games is huge. Don't forget that there are Asian games in their hundreds compared to western language games. The market is totally different. Where we have so many race games (some good and many just an excuse, the same to be said of shooters.) Asia has hundreds of games that are similar to FF and other role playing games. once again some are great and many appeal to a smaller audience. A small Asian audience however can equal almost any European countries sales so the demand is high enough to ensure development. There are not so many games that are released world wide for the global audience but it is improving and will get better. Many people right now take advantage of the low cost PS2 and the PS2 games are now only a few bucks as opposed to 60 USD or higher for the PS3. There are enough PS2 games out there to keep a gamer happy for at least a year by which time the PS3 costs and game availability issues are solved.
As for
» can you imagine how crazy the sales would get
if MGS4 and FF13 comes out---blows M$ in the dust.
All I can say is we must wait and see, in the meantime enjoy the games when they are released as I am sure that many 360 users will be tooooo busy playing Halo 3 to argue with you.
Dualshock 3:
Japan - November 2007
USA - Spring 2008
Europe - Spring 2008
And it seems no more price drops for a while I'm afraid. But theyre going to focus on releasing more games instead, which is one of the two factors important for it in the early stages.
with a name like houaruto, yea i bet it would blow MS in the dust for you. For the rest of us, PS3 still blows in the ASS.
