I knew someone would say that... For some reason I knew someone would be illogical enough...
I have a question for you, Yamagushi... If Japan is hit by two earthquakes, a tsunami, and hit with radiation, why would only the 3DS sales go down? They wouldn't. All the consoles would be hit proportionally.
If the 3DS sales were better, the PSP would be better, too, and still have more.

The 3D isn't that mind blowing either, it's a gimmick more than anything else - I've just switched it off so it's less distracting.
I do like the feel of the 3DS (nice and hefty) and the streetpass is a nice feature, but to ship it half finished (no browser, no original games in the launch line up) just seems reckless. CFW and a PSP Go just spanks this thing into next week.
I hope Rodea the Sky Soldier (Yuji Naka's latest) lives up to the hype at least.

Give it a few months for good games to be released first. Who knows if they Bring out Monster Hunter on the 3DS this will certainly change the figures in Japan!

The re-make games look WORSE then the real games, Take Rayman, I looked at the Rayman 2 on N64 and it looks BETTER then the Rayman 2 on 3DS... WTF lol.
The 3D on the 3DS is NOT real 3D, Never did i see anything pop out of the screen.
The Camra's are worse then a Cell phones Cam, I mean REALLY bad, It's like if you got a toy cam for your little 2 year old kid.
The only time i thought about keeping this was when the acekard 2i started working on it... that's till i seen that DS games look WORSE on the 3DS then a DS lite LOL WTF?? O well.. Back to wal-mart you go, I want my 266$ back.

I really don't know what's with all the haters on here making stupid claims that the 3D on the 3DS is not 3D or why people are saying the PSP better, they're both pretty much the same graphically, ones 3D the others not, both have pretty shameful game libraries at this point. Only one of those two devices is likely to improve that....

Have you even played on a 3DS? Most games on the 3DS look worse then a N64 game SOME and i mean some are about as good as a Gamecube game but that's not saying much When a PSP game can be good as a PS2 game. And with the PSP 2 Coming out it will Smash the 3DS, And no I NEVER seen anything POP out of the 3DS, At best you get a Window effect But don't more less then 0.000001 inches to the left or right or it will just be Blurry.
I am not a Sony fan boy or anything, I love the DS:lite but the 3DS just sucks, And if there was a better device other then the PSP 2 coming out i would be taking about that.

- The 3D effect is way less amazing than expected (for me, at least). It's a bottom 3D, not an above-the-screen one.
- It's got a low resolution. For a new generation console, the graphics are far from expected. I know that graphics aren't - or at least shouldn't be - the main feature of a game, but so far, 3DS has yet to see a title at the same level as PSP's "Prince of Persia" or "God of War" franchises. I know Super Street Fighter 4 looks good, but it should really look great on a brand-new console as the 3DS - and that's not what have happened. And if the top screen isn't able to amuse me, let alone the bottom screen, that really seems to be ripped off of a DSi. Nintendo should have used a capacitive screen instead. Anyway, most of the games have not focused at all on what was NDS's amazing feature: an all-purpose touch screen. Now that developers have to think about nice ways to use a not-so-nice screen, they lose in gameplay.
- It's not fit to be a portable. It doesn't have enough battery, it's heavy (same complaint most players had with the original NDS), and its main feature places it in a hard-to-use position - try holding your portable to eye-level and keep it into one single position for hours. And it gets your eyes tired. So you turn off the 3D and... bang! There goes half of your screen's resolution.
All in all, Nintendo must pray for developers to create a great game database for 3DS. Zelda will help, of course, but I need more to be convinced. I guess that migration from DS - a cheap, nice console with great games - to 3DS is not happening so soon, maybe in 2-3 years' time - if it happens. The fact that Pokemon Black & White was released weeks before 3DS didn't help Nintendo at all...
I'm not a Nintendo hater. I own a DS Lite, and I really like it very much. I still think the best console ever was the SNES. I love the Metroid franchise, which is Nintendo's. I'm a Pokemon player ever since Pokemon Blue was released on the USA. But Nintendo made some mistakes on the 3DS: there was much ado about... a not-so-sound portable.
I've given up migrating to 3DS with the money to buy it on my hands, while testing PilotWings and Super Street Fighter 4, and my eyes were hurting after less than 10 minutes of gameplay on each game. I hope 3DS will grow to be better. But for now, it's not a videogame made for players.
