PSP-3000 spotted at Best Buy; street date broken |
Ó
Well look what we have here! A caged, honest-to-goodness PSP-3000 Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters bundle.
Yes, caged. You know, so it doesn't get stolen. Those images were taken by NeoGaf forums poster Ermac, who said that he found this bundle of joy at Best Buy. He made no mention of which branch it was, though.
When he asked an associate what the bundle was doing out, he was told, "Oh yeah, they do come out next week."
The street date for the PSP-3000 is supposedly for October 14th. But reports have been coming in that some Best Buy branches like the one in Mission Valley, San Diego have already been selling it since last week.
The Ratchet PSP-3000 bundle comes with a 1 gig mem stick. The one with the 4 gig stick doesn't come out till November, but I guess it'll be safe to warn that another street date will be broken then.

Comments [refresh]
now it's here!!!!
bring it on sony
ill wait for the 4gb bundle
that'll probably sell the most
hopefully we find out earlier before the release if this PSP can be compatible with the pandora batteries so that I can get a slim instead before they are out of the shelves
does anyone know whta the motherboard is for the Madden bundle
cause it was released the latest out of all slims i think
so probably ta 088 v3
many of my friends want a PSP but they waited so they couldnt get the older PSP Slim so that too bad for them. Im still satisfied with the PSP 1000 and will only upgrade if I can have CFW on the latest PSP Slim
PANDORAAAAAAAAA AAA
beats all psp remakes, atleast i hope :\
YET! The new PSP-3000 uses a 5 volt battery instead of the 3.6v battery meaning our batteries will be incompatible with it. Unless there's a firmware exploit, we're screwed!
EMCP, honestly I had a long thinking session on whether or not I was going to buy the OpenPandora hand held. I mean 500Mhz with 10 hours battery? Overlocking it to 900Mhz sounds amazing for a hand held, full keyboard support, with Linux installed, how could you go wrong? I guess it all comes down to if you have the money, because paying 380 dollars (after shipping and handling) is a steep price to pay for a handheld, and if you think about it, it can basically do, whatever a PSP can do. (With the huge exception for Linux) I mean obviously since it's nothing but open source, emulators will be the first thing made for OpenPandora, the developers said making a Dreamcast emulator will be pushing the hand held to it's limits, which means the only thing I can think of that the Pandora will have over the PSP is a full running N64 emulator. Sorry this is a long post, but maybe you will respond and educate me in case I miss something vital because in time, it may turn out to be an awesome machine, I mean it has the same size screen as the PSP, (800x resolution) duel analogs, and touch screen. So I decided to wait and keep an extra 400 dollars in my pocket until I see reviews about it's release to see how extreme the gap is between the two systems.
The only negative thing I will say about the system is that it's ugly as Sin, so the PSP wins there.
