The European PlayStation Blog was launched earlier, while the US blog still happily spreads the joy around with the goods. This week on the PlayStation Store comes the classic Resident Evil Director's Cut on PSone classics, Sackboy gets more costume packs, and loads of FREE DLC. Yep, lots of great freebies in this update, now read the list, turn your PS3 on and get-a-downloadin'!
In a nutshell, you can just go and grab free DLC for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Resistance 2, Age of Booty, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2, and even a track for Guitar Hero World Tour. I'm getting both demos and possibly Resident Evil...
How do you guys play these new demos on CFW? I'm on 5.00 M33 and I even have some games I bought from PSN that wont start because of my "obsolete" FW.
Is there a way to bypass this or am I stuck with not playing my payed-for games until there is a new CFW?
And no, I don't want to go OFW ;P
I am using 5.03 HEN R2 on a 3k and download stuff from the PSN PC Store with no issues whatsoever
You're getting the "You need to update your system to 5.03 to play this game" message, right?
You have to use PSAR Dumper to dump a 5.03 update Eboot. Look for the "version.txt" file and replace the one currently in your Flash0 with it.
Then, enable the "Use Version.txt" option under the recovery menu. You should stop getting those prompts after that.
I googled what you wrote and found a simpler way of doing it :)
I got hold of the version.txt of 5.50 and replaced my version.txt with that! Now all my games work! :)
