And 50 words or less is really hard to write about a tough experience, how you won AND making it funny. My first draft was near 200 words and I thought that was short at the time. Took 30 mins just to trim it down to 50.

I've not purchased game magazines for a long time, so I don't know if it's common or not to have a magazine released, or even planned, a month ahead of time (he's got the page number, it's gotta be laid out), but that seems... unlikely. Anyone have information for/against my speculation?

My story was about Untold Legends: Warrior's Code
"I died at a checkpoint, and kept respawning and being kiled over and over. Oh..overcome it? Well, I cried for a good while, if that counts... Then I just restarted the level. It happened again..."
Lol, so maybe not the most touching story.

That's a good one, festizzio.
My original, too long to submit, version was:
"Death Bringer" will forever be etched into my brain as long as I live. Can't say that it was the toughest experience ever but fighting KOFMI’s Duke is all I seem to remember. He must have been wearing Nero brand clothing, because he burned those words in my mind in stereo surround sound. His infinite specials were almost done to the point where they would cancel each other out. I swear I heard the Guilty Gear announcer yelling "ROMANTIC".
Somewhere around the twenty-seventh time hearing "Round one--YOU LOSE!!!" And hearing Duke yell his specials fast enough to make Twista sweat, I got fed up to the point to where I thought of nothing more than turning his genitals into something Choosy Moms would choose. Oddly enough, Duke was a sucker for low kicks. Go figure, repeated attempts to make Bama Swirl out of his nuts did him in.

Too bad the e-mail still doesn't work.
