PS3-PSP bundle spreads to UK |

Ó
Not so long ago we told you that Amazon Deutschland (Germany) was offering PS3 pre-orders for 599 Euros providing you buy a 199 Euro PSP as well. Now it looks like this idea is spreading, with HMV, a large music, DVD and video games retailer from the UK, refusing to accept PS3 pre-orders unless the buyer agrees to buy a PSP too. It isn't the standard PSP pack either: the HMV online store asks you to buy a 4GB PSP pack as well as the £425 console, bringing the grand total of the bundle to £675 ($875).
The e-mail containing this message was sent to everyone who has signed up on the HMV website to receive updates on the PS3 console and says: "Anyone who takes advantage of this offer will get priority over other HMV.co.uk customers for the PlayStation 3." You will also get Killzone Liberation and Gangs of London for the PSP with this offer. With many saying that the price of the PS3 is too high already, this will not go down well with buyers. Then there's PSP owners - aren't we getting a raw deal?
If you already own a PSP you don't really want another one, and now this bundle offer has sprung up in two territories across Europe. If this is a Sony directed offer then they need to get their priorities straightened out and remember that the thousands of PSP owners are supporting them already, so surely they should get priority over other customers.

gosh, every single thing happens has to be sony's fault...
Next day..."Plastic becomes a scarcity and therefore it becomes as valuable as gold. Sony's PS3 now costs $1,000 due to this problem."....People say "Damn it! It's always Sony's fault!!!"

Reminds me of the PSP launch, where the only way to reliably get a PSP was to buy one of the bundle packs.
Well, that's just strengthened my resolve not to bother with the PS3.
