Konami has announced that Adriano Leite Ribeiro will be "the face of" Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for the European market, appearing on the front of the game's retail packaging. Adriano is one of the most respected soccer players today, known for his tremendous pace and skill, making him arguably one of footballÂ’s most dangerous strikers. Konami is also bringing Adriano and the Pro Evolution Soccer series to new platforms for the first time. PES6 will not only release for PS2 and PC, but also PSP, Nintendo DS, and Xbox360, which will release in the autumn.
"I am really looking forward to working with Konami on what everyone knows to be the most realistic football game around", Adriano said. “Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is known worldwide for its quality and I am delighted to be associated with such a fine series".
"Adriano is rightly regarded as a player with skill, pace and passion – all key elements to success in Pro Evolution Soccer 6", commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "We are very excited to be working with such a talent, and further new signings will be announced in the coming weeks."
This is a prime example of Konami's commitment to working with the best talents in soccer.

Of course we can't forget about Ronaldo though. Even old dogs can still have a big bite left in them.

i love soccer (yes, thats what i call it, because thats what its called in america, though i realize the game is called 'football') and i really hate that nobody cares that i like it or have a passion for it and just pass me off as some "dumb yank" because of idiots like this guy. "...fans of the game which in most countries, called soccer." are you f'in retarded?? we are one of maybe a handful of countries that call it something other than football
USA FOOTBALL FOREVER

"Football" is fairly easy to understand, merely being foot and ball joined together, much like the actual game. I can't stand football really but it bugs me even more that you can call a game football that is more like rugby.. but padded. Aussie football also suffers from poor naming but is more like a super violent form of rugby, WITHOUT padding...

I can't wait for this game to be released!!!
I just wish that Konami would step it up a gear and release it quickly... I mean, it's been released in Japan on PS2 so the gameplay tweaks have already been made... All they have to do is port it, add the hd res to their textures and add some achievements. I doubt it takes months to do that for a team of their stature.
