PlayStation Store PC goes live |
Ó

As announced by Kaz Hirai during the TGS 2007, the PlayStation Store can now be accessible via the PC. The official PC version for the PlayStation Network portal has finally gone live. All you have to do is sign up with your PSN account and it's DLC time!
Just like its PS3-version, you can purchase demos, videos, and PSOne games via the portal, now, without having to access it via the PS3! Now, PSP users without a PS3 can still have fun with some PSP downloadable content.
Oh, and just in case you haven't noticed yet, it's the new PlayStation Network logo off to the side.
Get busy! Click the Via link below to head to PlayStation Store PC.

wooooooooooot wooooooooooooot yeah
If the PSP had been equipped with the Emulator since the first year of production everything would be different. Sighhhhhhh.
Syphon filter combat ops!!
like wifi? or adhoc??
because like wipeout is on that site and it says Wi-Fi, but last time i checked, wipeout was only adhoc +X
And Wipeout im not really sure.
wipeout is ad-hoc multiplayer only but can access online for downloadable content. although it appears that that has been taken down since now when u try to access dlc it redirects u to playstation.com in-game.
Pfft.... This is seriously OLD OLD news! We've had this for a while. It's called Popstation :)
(joke)
My computer download faster then the PS3, so it might be faster for me to download on the PC and copy it to the PS3 via external hardrive.
What about HOME on PSP?
It's the next big FW release
but it's taking to damn long.
wait, hold on. From the site:

We can't download anything with a Mac then? Anyone knows if mac support will be added soon?
I saw that too, and I was like ???
There is nothing you need specifically to run these downloads through, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on Mac. I havent bought/don't plan on buying anything from the PSSTORE except maybe Syphon Filter because it is online only. But, you can see if maybe someone will tell you what is inside the download. The only thing I can think of, is that it is a Windows EXE file, to simplify adding and removing the games from PSP.
Linux (both x86 and PPC/Cell) would be a good system to support as well. Time will tell if the Sony web programmers crawl out of M$'s butt long enough to notice the rest of the world of computing... (Especially since Sony supports being able to put Linux on the PS3...)
Wifi, which is short for wireless fidelity, is networking medium through which we can connect our devices. Medium being that it's radio operated. There is no difference between ad-hoc and wifi. Ad-hoc is the type of interface we use when attempting to connect two or more non station type devices. Basically every device for itself, no man in the middle, all data is routed through each peer until it reaches its destination. On the other hand, a Station (wifi router if you will) may or may not broadcast a beacon to notify all clients (non station devices) that the network is available, it's signal strength, encryption and all that. Considering that PSP can not connect to any ad-hoc other than specifically created ad-hoc networks for linking up only to another PSP is bull*****. This forces us to either supply a wireless router or be lucky enough to have a client type device that has software enabled station mode. Other than that there is no way for your PC to communicate with PSP (even though it's freakin wifi.) wirelessly.
Im sure everyone will understand the difference, oh you forgot to mention Infrastructure, though i doubt its much concern though.
Yeah im just waiting for the site to get some more classics like Final fantasy 7 and 8 so i can get those bad boys on my PSP ^_^
