We've just been informed that Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has updated the PlayStation Store. As usual, classics, as well as PlayStation 1 (PSOne) titles, are available for download alongside a couple of film and video game trailers.

Take note that the PSOne titles listed below are both playable on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PlayStation Portable (PSP). You can purchase them for US$ 5.99 each but PSP owners who already dl'd the games before can download them again for free. The titles are as follows:
  • 2Xtreme
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Destruction Derby
  • Jet Moto
  • Jumping Flash
  • MediEvil
  • Rally Cross
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 2
  • WipeOut
Also, Super Rub a Dub can now be purchased for US$ 6.99. If the previous gameplay videos and game features were still not enough for you to get this game, don't worry because there's a free starter pack/demo waiting to be downloaded as well. Gauntlet II will be representing the retro games for US$ 4.99.

Finally, here are the trailers that can be downloaded for no extra charge:
  • Game Trailers: Super Stardust (HD), Rampart, and BlackSite: Area 51
  • Movie trailers: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

» Blacksite: Area51

Whoever edited this article has Blacksite: Area51 listed as two seperate games "Blacksite, and Area51". It's only one game, although probably twice as awesome!

I'm pretty sure they previously didn't work on the PS3. This update makes it so you can play them on PSP and PS3.

This week is pretty boring, though. Usually there's at least one demo. Even if it isn't good, the demos are still fun to play with for free.

» also on home

a handful of people on playsation forums are getting the home beta download as well in the store...

by salimdao - 2007-05-03 09:26
» Home Beta

if you got invited to beta test Home and Sony chose you, check the Blu-Ray trailers section for the Home Beta download. if its not there, check back in a couple hours or maybe you just were chosen.

My idea is every game has an barcode or some sort of numbers on it. If you have the game and you want it on the PS3 just saying if you lose the game or its so old it wont work you should go to PSN and type one of the codes on your CD to the network. If numbers are correct and it showed that you bought the game you should be able to download it for free.

by Vipre77 - 2007-05-03 12:37
» The problem is...

Not many people give crap about downloadable PS1 games for the PSP until the process can be done without needing a PS3 to do it.
