Weekly Famitsu scan of Patapon 2 - Image 1 Weekly Famitsu scan of Garnet Chronicle for PSP - Image 1

It seems like the Christmas holidays will be a time filled with war-like, tribal eyeballs and colorful singing blobs as this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu confirmed the arrival of Patapon 2 and LocoRoco 2 for the PlayStation Portable. Patapon 2 is slated to be released this Winter, although there was no mention of when LocoRoco 2 will go live.

A couple of scans taken from the Japanese gaming magazine showed some of the first screenshots of Patapon 2. It seems like some of the earlier units featured in the promotional images of the first title will finally be making their debut (flying eyeballs ftw!). As usual, they'll be going up against bigger and badder monsters as well as a new and unknown tribe.

Another notable game to be featured in Weekly Famitsu was a new RPG title from Sega. Aside from the upcoming Phantasy Star Portable, the company will also be rolling out a new RPG for the handheld entitled "Garnet Chronicle". The second scanned image above shows a first look of what the new game will look like.

Hopefully, we'll be hearing more about these games in the months to come. We'll be sure to keep an eye out for more updates regarding these titles, so keep coming back to this space for more info.
