Echoing the forecasts of simExchange's Jesse Divinch, Michael Pachter predicts that holiday sales will be led by the Nintendo twosome, the Wii and the DS. Not only that, he also believes that the video game industry will be at an all time high for the season.

Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Morgan, believes that the industry will be up by 15% not only in hardware but in software as well. Pachter expects that the big winner for the Christmas period would be Electronic Arts.

However, commenting on which game would be number one for the holidays, he states that it all depends on when you start counting the numbers. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock would win he says, but Halo 3 would have a shot if we take September's numbers into account.

» I can save some time analysts:

Just issue a blanket statement saying: "Until further notice, the Nintendo DS and Wii will sell the most units for whatever holiday/quarter is happening in the near future" Then you can pack it in and go on a really long vacation. (at least until that 299 PS3 goes on sale)

Why does QJ always post these analysts predictions? I don't really care for them and I think if you keep posting this guys predictions you should also post what he's been right and wrong about so far...

» Queen of Stating the Obvious?

This has to be the most obvious statement ever, looking at sales numbers, everybody saw this coming. Although, the PS3's rising popularity might screw him up, I'd be hapy...I don't like this guy
