Ovechkin Is On NHL 07 Cover

EA Sports, has today announced that Washington Capitals left wing Alexander Ovechkin, favorite for the 2006 Rookie of the Year Award, will grace the cover of NHL 07.

The 21-year old Ovechkin, a native of Russia, has had a stellar first year since being taken number 1 in the NHL Draft, netting 106 points comprised of 52 goals and 54 assists along with 52 penalty minutes.

Not many details have been released about NHL 07 thus far, but it looks to face very tough competition this year with NHL 2k7 from 2K Sports. The game is expected to ship this fall for the Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 2, PSP and PC. Be sure to check back in the near future for any other information that comes to hand!

sidney crosby is so over rated. he hardly did anything this year, why in hell would you want to put him on the cover? On the other hand Ovechkin was great. hes probably one of my favorite players. just go to youtube and check out some of his videos, hes sick
