The graphics look on-par with PS2! I do hope that the reply engine is as powerful as it looks like it could be in the video.
The game is excellent. Had it for about 3 weeks now and can't get enough of it!
"The graphics look on-par with PS2!" That is the PS2 (or Xbox) version. It's in 4:3 aspect ratio, I guess nobody at PSPU watched the video before posting. Got my hopes up with the title of the post, I've been searching for some PSP Outrun footage for weeks. I am thinking of buying the game but I have read that it has a few framerate issues on PSP so I'm holding off till I've seen it in action. Anyway if you want to see the same trailer but in better quality check out http://www.gamershell.com/news/29372.html Zero.Wing '(^_^)'
lol, heart attack mode. Great name
It's just the games intro video, no gameplay in there. I do have the game since it was on the shop, and I love it. The graphics are almost as good as the PS2 ones, just the frame rate is not as good. Great fun! Out Run is ideal for 5 minutes bursts anywhere. And the heart attack mode is good for a laugh. :)
This is the Attract video from the PS2 version.
Trust me, It looks at least as good as the PS2 version, I have the EU version. It has lots of different gameplays, and it also contains the original outrun2SP version. and last but not least, you can play multiplayer through wifi and infrastructure... all games should have that... if you like outrun it's a must, but need for speed and burnout lovers may also like this.. needs 2.6 to play
Checkout Gamespot, seems they are the first to put up some PSP footage. http://www.gamespot.com/psp/driving/outrun2006coast2coast/media.html?part=rss&tag=gs_&subj=6147440 Looks to have some serious frame rate issues in places, what a shame! :( Zero.Wing '(^_^)'
