On Shelves This Week: September 23 to September 29, 2007 |
Ó
It goes without saying that this week is going to be big, and we need not remind you why but we're going to say it anyway: Halo 3. Yup, Master Chief is blasting to the shelves, but let's not overlook all the other titles that are charging to the stores alongside our intrepid hero.
This week also marks the release of sports titles like NBA 08 and Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3, while the Wii and DS get their steady doses of assorted titles. The PC gamers will not be finding their side of the shelves in want either so it might be safe to say that we're all going to be happy with these week's output of video games. Our wallets have a fight ahead of them, though.Animal Genius. What's your animal IQ? For example, do you know the difference between a panther and a leopard? You'll get to exercise your wildlife knowledge in Animal Genius with its five games: Matchomatic, Maze Munch, Animal Expert, Scratch 'N See, and Creature Collector.

Never seen such a long list of games coming out without wanting one of them...Dewy's adventure looks cool, but not 50 bucks cool.
I don't like Halo but Skate is going to be mine!
Halo is too childish for my likes too. Skate ftw
list is kinda weak, i wanna try ninjabreadman hoping its funny like ININJA was... dunno halo is fine but yeah lotsa shyitey games
halo is too childish so your choosing skate??? wow, so a military shooter if for children and skating is for adults??? you fail
skate is awful.
Halo is a horrible representation of "military". The game is for kids 15 and younger, face the facts. Of course the average person on here is probably 13 or younger anyways, so enjoy your joke of a "military game".
Real gamers will be enjoying real shooters like COD4, UT3, and SOCOM.
Halo 3 is for kids 15 and under? The average Halo player is in the 18-25 age bracket, look it up. Feel stupid now?
Haha, the fact that you said "face the facts" when you have no clue what the facts are makes it all the more funnier. You sir, are an idiot
BTW, I've played the betas of both Halo 3 and CoD4, which I doubt you have, and I'd say Halo 3 is better than CoD4. CoD4 is amazing, and my second favorite of the series behind the original, but not as good as Halo. Better than Halo 2, maybe, but not better than CE or 3
I was in the halo3 beta and still am in the COD4 beta. COD4 > than the "Everyone" ESRB teen rated. Face the facts, halo is just another over hyped piece of trash that MS has tricked everyone in to buying. If you want a real game, get SOCOM, until then, you have no reason to talk... idiot.
Yeah, I don't give a ***** about anything other than Halo 3 because it is going to kick some serious ass. Whoever says Socom is cool is a little 10 yr old prick.
The Masterchief pisses all over copies of Socom.
'nuff said.
I could argue my point, but the non-fanboys won't need me to. Anyway, I might pick up Stranglehold CE (cause I haven't seen the movie) as well as preorder Folklore (a GOOD RPG on the next gen, finally!!!). As for the rest of the list, It kinda fails...
I guess Halo will still sell a trillion copies, oh well, not like I'M wasting my 65 bucks =]
Man, is a lose - lose situation with this Sony fanboys, they can't accept the facts that Halo lives to the hype, get super high scores, and is going to sell a bazillion. Is pitiful when they can't even say a good thing about the game even knowing that what they say is only fuel by hatred or ignorance. Is a shame.
When a developer commits to make a game of this caliber, we, the people who play those games should be grateful, it takes them 3 years to get to this point, they could have rush an incomplete game of Halo knowing is going to sell anyways, but they are commited to what they do and that is what really matters in my book. No game is perfect, and is not going to be made to the liking of every gamer. But people, if a game has and average of 96%, is and excellent games by all means. A masterpiece if you like to call it by that, so we are going to enjoy years of playing the game, that's the beauty of Halo, you can finish the story mode in ten hours, but the multiplayer games is going to last at least 3 years more.
And that's something the haters & fanboys can't accept, maybe is because at this moment the PS3 doesn't have a single game to compete against Halo or the 360 this holiday season. Can you imagine, Bioshock, Halo 3 & the upcoming Mass Effect running for game of the year?, and all of them exclusive to the 360! Is good to have a 360 right now. So, if you excuse me, I'm going to pay homage to Bungie, camping in front of Gamestop to get the second candidate to game of the year! See you all after midnight!
I like the 360. I like games that are actually good like bioshock and gears of war. But Halo is overhyped and sucks. And you can't even call that a military game. It's a sci-fi shooter. I would not waste a single dollar on that game. It's a shame people are gonna waste their money on such a sucky game.
@Brakkos: halo haters and sony fanboys are not the same, I mean, xbox360 lovers can also hate halo while sony fanboys can't love xbxo360s... And anyway, halo is boring BUT for the multiplayer, and I never buy a game (new) for multiplayer alone, I buy them used, so stress out, calm down, and stop accusing everybody. Also, it "is is a lose - lose situation with this [sony is now M$] fanboys". lol. Anyway an xbot talking trash against sony fanboys, saying they talk trash against M$ fanboys... wow, it's rare. And anyway every consoles are good, it just depend what kind of game you like. From this point of view, you should be banned for making disgracefull messages to other users that like every consoles, like me.
for the topic: my games ( that I want ) are not on this list... again... my first game that I'll play on a next-gen console is assassin's creed. I'm gonna buy my console THE DAY it pops (and just for you Brakkos, it's gonna be a ps3 MOUHAHAHAHhahaa ha!, LOL).
ps: I like the xbox360 too, I also had one, but I prefer the ps3 since I LOVE JRPG games, (like eternal sonata :'( that is gonna be on ps3 in januray (I was lucky for this one, I mean, FFgames are good but.. eternal looked GREAT too :D, for this one, the xbox360 users are REALLY lucky. I'll play it later, sadly.
why is everyone so bitter about Halo? Don't get it if you don't want to.
Halo 3 is here!! now only thing leff to do is play halo3 and watch sony and the ps3 fall!! all you ps-*****s will cry!!
I'm not the one who tells people to face the facts when they don't know what the hell the facts are.
I notice every Halo hater seems to regard their opinion as fact. Halo is trash in your opinion, your opinion cannot be a fact. If you can't realize that, then I'm probably just wasting my time aren't I?
And his opinion is one I agree with. SOCOM blows, IN MY OPINION. I just don't like slow realistic military shooters. Which is the same reason I played Rainbow Six Vegas all of one day
The only thing I'd agree on with you McAwesome is that UT is better than Halo. Nothing can beat UT
but.. Halo 3 is nice sure, i played it too, but its imo just Halo 2 with better Graphics, nothing special this time.. CoD4 got lots of stuff they never had, but, even CoD4 is noth worth to buy, i prefer UT3. And dudes, nobody can say anything about UT3, its the greatest Egoshooter since 99'
save me a seat!
Just for the record as some talk about check the records?
I am 49 years of age. I work internationally and am not an infantile who does not know what is good or bad. Halo for me is great, I also like science fiction and think the Film Serenity was a work of art. However keeping things in perspective this is my choice of what I enjoy. I hate platform games, I despise films like scream. But that is also my opinion. Tastes differ and thats that. If you do not like Halo fine but do not insult those that do. If we keep this kind of ***** going we will end up with a war between coffee drinkers and tea lovers. Get real and enjoy the games of your choice. If your game of choice is good then by all means promote that fact regardless of console, if you think Halo is inferior to something by all means offer an alternative with good reasons as to why you feel it is better. Thank god we are all different otherwise there would be no choice and only one game to play.
A two man circle jerk. Didn't know that was possible. Impressive.
Well I will buy this game just for the story telling, I wanna know how it ends. The thing is that nothing big change between halo 2 and 3 only for the graphics, is not a bad game but I really thing they could do better.
