Project Sylpheed - Image 1A new week, a new slew of discoveries waiting to happen in this week's "On Shelves" report. Highlights include the US release of Project Sylpheed, all locked and loaded for its sortie to the Xbox 360 console.

Meanwhile, PC fans will have a much uncharted territory to explore, as K2 Network sets sail with their Sword of the New World MMORPG this July 10.

In the handheld arena, sports buffs can take a swing at Smash Court Tennis 3 for the PSP, while those who want "warm and fuzzy" can cuddle up with AniMates for the DS.

AniMates. Looking for a new Nintendogs/Animal Crossing-ish title for your portable? Players here will have their very own cute and cuddly "AniMate" to hatch and grow, with you being able to raise up to five of these furry critters at one time.

Chicken Shoot. Fowl play for the DS owners comes in the guise of this humorous title. Players can use up to four ways to blast the game's nefarious poultry, with the game's multiplayer co-op mode allowing for up to four guys to join in on the fun.

Jewels of Cleopatra. Alas, it appears this gem has had its release date moved to this week. Do you still fancy a race against time to find the nine jewels of the fabled Egyptian queen?

Lottso. A cross of Bingo and the Lottery, Lottso will have players keeping their eye on the "Lottso!" ball as they fill out sets of cards to hopefully score big points.
Project Sylpheed. In this Xbox 360 sequel of a PS2 remake of the classic arcade shooter on Sega CD, players will be treated to a plethora of space-based missions and hardware, as they defend humanity from enemy forces. Ride! Carnival Tycoon. Another PC game that's had its release changed from last week to this week. Build and promote your dream carnival in this simulation title.

Smash Court Tennis 3. Namco classic meets pro tennis in this latest sports title for the PSP. Game modes include Arcade, Exhibition, and Pro Tour. There's also a selection of mini-games including nostalgic treats like Galaga Tennis and Pac-Man Tennis.
Sword of the New World. This MMORPG from Hakkyu Kim (the creator of Ragnarok Online) is based on Europe's exploration of the New World. You control a party of three characters at once (your account holds several characters). K2's US release also has exclusive features.

halo 3 was supposed to be out almost a year ago, set to be released n a few months, and wont be released until 09. prediction based on halo2's ballad of release dates. who knows i could be right. I like being right, but not when it involves me waiting. so idk what i want.
