On Shelves This Week: January 21 to January 27, 2008 |
Ó
We certainly got a haul of good game releases last week, and fortunately for us, the lucky gaming streak applies to this week as well. Aside for a few games including the maiden voyage of Flying Lab Software's MMORPG Pirates of the Burning Sea, Nintendo still owns this round. Wii and DS gamers, make sure that you still have some cash handy because there are still more great games coming your way, such as...Pirates of the Burning Sea. After several rounds of stress tests, beta testing sessions and a successful Preboarding kick-off, Flying Lab Software's nautical MMORPG is finally live. Come sail in the high seas and engage in some swashbuckling action either as a notorious pirate, or as a citizen of France, England, or Spain.
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. The great sequel to Advance Wars: Dual Strike is finally on the horizon, sporting a darker, grittier post-apocalyptic storyline and visuals. Expect unusually high replay value on this title with the addition of online play.

Yeah! Pirates of the Burning Sea!
are you serious?
Pirates of the Burning sea eh, ill try a trial if possible.
Advanced Wars makes me quiver, I suck so badly it isn't even funny.
Tycho from PA: "While it comes up lacking in the classical assessment, it does embody other peculiar virtues: namely, the ability to put you into a Goddamned trance. Held upright only by the chair, I felt strangely warm as some force operated on my body, transforming the living parts into gel. I looked over to Gabriel, largely to determine if I still had neck bones. Draped over the chair like a coat, his leaden jowls hung open as his wrist offered up the bare minimum of game interaction. The rhythm of the scuba gear itself is sufficiently hypnotic, but they offer up musical selections in parallel: there is a warbling sea witch in this game whose voice can drown men. When we dive, I believe we dive in search of her."
