The final week before we get to steal cars and live the American Dream in Grand Theft Auto 4 is not without worthwhile video game releases to keep us occupied. For the most part, it's good to be a Nintendo DS owner since Japan's most appealing handheld titles finally reach shelves. Square Enix' stylish The World Ends With You spearheads the list, as famed character designer Tetsuya Nomura's gig is ready to make some noise.

On the other hand, we get to travel far and wide yet again with the much awaited North American venture of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness/Explorers of Time tandem. Those looking for a more action-packed purchase can take a shot at NBA Ballers: Chosen One, while the rest can read on to find what's in store.

Battle of the Bands. If you thought you've proven your skill in Rock Band or Guitar Hero 3, here's one rhythm game that promises to up the ante. With 30 tracks across rock, country, marching band, hip hop, and ranchero genres, Battle of the Bands lets you play several songs in each match with weapons such as smoke bombs to, well, smoke the competition.

Chameleon. Puzzle game enthusiasts who love to bring colored blocks together might want to check out Chameleon. Aside from bubbly characters to cheer you on, the game mixes things up a bit by focusing on competitive matches where players try to best each other in Goal Mode or King Mode.
