Oh, lovely: Dragonball movie PSP tie-in heads west |

Whether you like it or not, there's no stopping the Dragonball: Evolution movie from coming down with a forceful impact. And to give that impact an additional oomph, Namco Bandai announced last month that they will be coming out with a movie tie-in game for the PSP.Well, too bad nobody could kill it before it started reproducing because now, apparently, it's getting a western release!

As Siliconera points out, a GameFly listing for the movie tie-in game will be hitting retail (tentatively, at least) on April 9, which is the same week as when the movie finally hits theaters in North America. Yay! /sarcasm
No, really. I'm seriously seriously trying to summon all the energy I could to convince myself to get the game (and watch the movie too, for that matter), if only to see how utterly bad it could possibly be. I mean, it can't totally be that bad, right? It's not as if Uwe Boll created it...

That this is going to be a pitifully bad piece of ***** movie that's going to spawn a pitifully bad piece of ***** game.
This isn't about quality entertainment, it's about securing a foreseeable easy merchandising dollar. For the 8 year olds pestering their parents for this steaming pile it'll make a few bucks, just be glad this hideous crap will be a fading painful memory within a month of release.
the sad thing is is that even for a white guy the actor looks incredibly like Goku. this looks like crouching tiger, hidden dragon/ the fast and the furious 5. I just think that if its going to go and not follow the dragonball series at all they could have furthered the disassociation by replacing the white-acted character Goku's name with the english counterpart, Sky. that way they tarnish the movie in less ways. And someone please get King Piccolo some goddamn antennae!
*oh and for those *****s who fight on forums about Goku's ethnicity even though hes an alien, he's clearly never been a caucasian Saiyan but since he lives in (dinosaur and alien infested) Asia he's clearly adopted asain. No matter how WHITE Goku looks it's the same way how on Jackie Chan adventures Jackie and Jade have wide american eyes but are clearly asain*
I don't think any of the characters even look asian anyways. I've always thought of them as white. Only Chi-Chi and Pan look remotely asian. I also think he doesn't look like Goku at all, and goku was a lot younger in Dragonball.
I loooove Dragonball Z and even though this is gonna be a horrible rendition of the Anime, i'm gonna give it a chance. Not the fact that i love DB/Z/GT, but it doesn't look TOOO horrible. I mean, of course there are a shiet load of mess ups like Goku, i can care less about his race, but what in the hell happened to the hair?..I recall, there was no such thing as a Dodge Charger. Goku never went to school, unless i skipped a whole season or something, and in Dragonball, Goku was merely a kid. I also heard that King Piccolo gets greener throughout the movie especially after his wish from the Dragonballs, but clearly, Namekians are born green..and have antennas. Odd. Roshi is far toooooo serious in this movie. We all know Roshi is a silly old perverted old man and i kinda feel that Yun-Fat doesn't fit that descritption. AND last, where's NIMBUSSSSS! haha.
Chi-Chi and Bulma are hot nonetheless. Super hot.
it may just be the way he is portrayed in the trailer but he seems a bit too serious and i actually do wish goku was a kid in this movie. if he was then maybe...maybe i would give it a chance because i would feel like its more of a kids movie or something.. i don't know..but o well here's hoping that we get a good street fighter at least : )
yeah the movie might be bad, but it doesn't matter if the guy playing Goku is white or Asian because Goku came from outer space. And characters never exactly match their counter parts for reasons I'm not sure because they definitely have the products and tools to capture the details of the character.
i know this is not a wish-list thread/post, but i want a really kewl gameplay, like the action rpg and with all that extra replay value, uber optional boss, with a really kewl combat system, and most important of all, story cooperative gameplay. reminds me of budokai series...
Japanese, Chinese, and Korean people look weird.They got no eyes, flat chests, and flat hair. That's why all of their cartoons make characters that look NOTHING like them. Huge eyes? Blond hair? GIGANTIC BOOBZ? FIRE OUT OF THEIR ****? Nobody wants to see a show about plain, moderate-looking people with big heads and no eyes! ya you may think its racist but its also true!

they shouldn't release this movie if its gonna make so many people criticize about races (like Foolmonkey and Stingblah up there, especialy Stingblah)....racism is not not a bright thing its hell.

So your saying that you are what u mentioned above? who says all asians have small eyes? who says that all asians have big heads? by reading that comment it didn't sound like ur korean or anywhere near asian, sounded more like a western racist (not saying all westerners are racists). Try go out more, meet other asians, some are totally different to wat u discribed. And i thought korea was a country of fashion...

I never said all asian people are like that. Just the vast majority. 8 times out of 10 asians have very small eyes.
And Asian women are not known for having the biggest breasts out there. And their hair is indeed mostly flat (i actually think this looks better, sharper, like Ziyi Zhang)
And I have PLENTY of Asian friends. 9/10 of my friends are asian. And you know what? They joke about that too. They ADMIT this stuff, because it is true. Obviously it doesn't apply to all people.
