After the release of the Japanese version of Koei's oriental action game Warriors Orochi for the PlayStation Portable (also available on the Xbox 360) last month, it looks like gamers in North America will finally be able to savor the taste of this epic game as the company announced the release of Warriors Orochi for the PC and the PSP by next month.

Based on the rich lore of China and Japan, the game follows in the classic hack and slash vein of games from Koei. What makes Warriors Orochi different from other similar titles is the fact that it boasts massive seamless battlefields as opposed to the smaller battlefield "cells" from other games.

The PC version will feature enhanced graphics for PCs that meet the recommended system requirements and will be available exclusively through digital downloads. Speaking of the recommended requirements, here's a list of the minimum specifications for you to get a measure of your own system's capacity to play the game.

PC Minimum Requirements
  • OS: Windows XP and Windows Vista
  • CPU: Pentium 4 1.6GHz, Pentium 4 2.6GHz preferred
  • Memory: 256MB, 512MB recommended
  • Display: 640×480 True Color enabled, 1024×768 preferred
  • Hard Disk: 4GB or more of free space
  • Video Card: 64MB or more of VRAM, 128MB preferred
  • DirectX 9.0c
Warriors Orochi will be available for both the PSP and PC by next month, with the handheld version of the game slated to be released by March 25.
