No Echochrome sequel - Image 1

I don't know whether to take this as good news or bad news. According to Sony Japan, they won't be making a sequel to their hit puzzler game, Echochrome (PSP, PSN). I mean, I like the game - but damned if I want to spend more hours making myself dizzy. Still, it's not like we have a shortage of versions either.

Though the development team will not be working on a sequel, they will be working on a new puzzler game. The game's producer, Tatsuya Suzuki, and Kyushu University's Jun Fujuki, whose research on trick imagery was used as the game's basis.

Fujuki will still be working with the team, and they already have a new title that's based on an entirely different kind of trick imagery. I'm pretty excited about what they come up with next, although I hope this next game isn't as... vertigo-inducing.

As clever as the game is, it's just not much fun to play. And that damn non-music gives me nightmares
