No DLC planned for Gran Turismo PSP |
Ó

Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed in an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu that they aren't planning any DLC for the upcoming PSP entry in the Gran Turismo franchise. The same holds true for the cars.
"We're making the PSP Gran Turismo with the feeling of how would we make the first game in the series now, in 2009," said Yamauchi. "So, we wanted to make the content fulfilling for those playing for the first time. And so, we made the composition of the software simple as well. We made it so it won't tie in with the separate business of network downloads."
Even without DLC, racing fans will still be treated to a whopping 800-plus cars and 35 tracks with 60 layout variations. Impressive numbers, and all that will be running at a full 60fps.
Gran Turismo PSP has been set for an October 1 release in the US.

I've been around the European Forums for Sony's consoles and they seem to suggest that the UK will also be getting GT on the 1st of October.
Perhaps a Simultaneous release in all regions?
To give us Infrastructure online play? That really hurts and I'd love to see a patch.
theirs always adhoc party
The game will have 800 cars and about what 50+ tracks?
Thats way over what i expected for GT mobile. Thank you!!!
I'd prefer that the main meat of my game be ready out of the box than to have to wait for DLC's to keep the experience fresh. I honestly feel that we've become too dependent on downloadable content. Of course there's the occasional good thing, like the GTA expansion and Disgaea add ons.
They missing out on a s**t load of money not adding dlc to Gran Turismo, but Polyphony Digital always had that geeky obsessiveness in getting Gran Turismo right, so i just hope they kept up the quality, i mean it's not like we can expect a sequel before the minimum 3 year Gran Turismo cycle.
So they're trying to get all they can into the final product. Sounds fine to me. What bothers me more are the companies who announce DLC before a game is released that could so easily have been on the game disc already.
Because it would suck so dont make it
