Is there any point to post VG Chartz?? They are most of time, if not always, wrong with their numbers. This might as well be classified as a Rumor if your gonna use VG for your source.

Have you heard of NPD, the official video game sales numbers.

Awesome work Nintendo.

Can't see the big thing about SC4 though. But then again most people here can't see the point in Wii Fit!

Quite amazed at how quickly MGS4 fell and how Brawl is still in the charts after how long?

um, MGS4 is above Brawl...

He never said MGS4 was below Brawl... just that he was surprised Brawl is still showing up on the list, after being released so long ago; and how far down MGS4 has fallen.

So... uh, get back on the short bus. And start studying for your Engrish final, please.

They as well are often wrong. They report vendor level sales.

Who cares if Wal-Mart stocked up on 50,000 360 units? Those aren't SOLD yet. Plus, it's possible that of those 50,000, some go BACK to MS.

Wow! With a -14% in hardware sales the Wii still manages to stomp the crap out of the 360 at over twice the sales.

And you CAN NOT argue saturation with the 360 with a +4% on it's side.

NPD only counts the number of consoles sold. Fact. Even Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo use that for their official (public) numbers and even comment on them how they did.

# Fanboy??Apu 2008-08-11 11:05
But the PS3 sales are even lower than the 360, so what does that say about the PS3??

Question:

I don't really use this site much for news [anymore], but when I do I sometimes and I see your post and they are bias to the PS3/Sony. Just need to know if I am debating with a fanboy (which is pointless) or not so I decide to debate (non-fanboy) or not debate (fanboy).

Wrong!

No they don't. What you are reffering to is POS data. Most vendors can NOT produce such data. The big guys like BB, CC, Wal-Mart, Target, yes... but most can not.

Of course they use those numbers. They've become an industry standard. But that doesn't mean they are 100% accurate. They have to use SOMETHING.

Well, first get it right, I'm a PC Fanboy! ;p ;p ;p

You want a plus for the 360? I am super jealous of the new HDD install feature for games. I WISH Sony would impliment that!!!

Moving forward. What that tells us for the PS3 is that they have not caught up yet. However they have a +6 over MS +4.

Ok, so will make sure not argue the cons of PC Gaming.

No, don't care about 360 sales since I only have a PSP and PS3. I just hate when people state something bad about a console when their console [that they are bias for] are doing worse than the competition.

Why didn't say "Wow! With a -14% in hardware sales the Wii still manages to stomp the crap out of the 360/PS3 at over twice the sales." ?? That would have made you seem unbias as those are "facts" (VG numbers....) instead of sounding anit-360.

True, PS3 is +2 over MS, but they still have less consoles sold.

# WTF!?!?!?!?!ISOHaven 2008-08-11 13:30
They are NOT always wrong. They are closer to consumer sales then NPD. NPD gives all vendor sales. That is why VG and NPD do not equal each other. You see the difference and think one of them is wrong.

Vendor sales totals are always more accurate but do not give a sense of what is going into the consumers hand.

"Why didn't say "Wow! With a -14% in hardware sales the Wii still manages to stomp the crap out of the 360/PS3 at over twice the sales." ??"

I'll tell you why, because PS3 fanboys dont act like little b!tches around here about such things. My comment was in direct response to Wii versus 360. Since MS claims to be killing the PS3 then why bother including that? MS was the point versus the Wii, not the PS3.

You think VG numbers are more accurate than NPD. Ok sir, if that is what you honestly think then this a pointless debate.

So, 360 fanboys do act like "little b!tches" about such things (consoles sold??). Then you are trying to start a flamebait??

Woo, Doesn't Wii sport come free with the Wii? That how I got mine. Over 6million on wii fit, it won't keep people from being obese, but it is a start.

SC IV is the best looking game on the PS3 right now and it plays flawless, I like it better then DMC4 or MGS4 graphics. Only the storyline is a little weak.

APU - "You think VG numbers are more accurate than NPD"

ISOHaven - "NPD gives all vendor sales", "Vendor sales totals are always more accurate..."

You need to screw your head on straight!

Your biasness is blinding your ability to think clearly.

VG and NPD are apples and oranges.

Whatever you say. I already proved you biased above. I already threw 360 a bone and here you are AGAIN talking crap about fanboyism and flaming?

I'll make it simple for you:

"Just need to know if I am debating with a fanboy"

Don't worry about. I'm not debating anything with you since I just proved it worthless above.

But were you trying to start a flamebait from the beginning with your first post?? That is the reason why this debate started.
