Ó
The PSP's Sega Genesis Collection's coming out this November 7, while we retro-gamers wait for titles like Ecco the Dolphin or Sonic the Hedgehog, we'll remember the good 'ol days of 16-bit gaming - games that didn't take more than a few hours to finish, and still left you with the warm and fuzzy satisfaction of kicking Dr. Ro-butt-nik's over-sized posterior. Then we see the trailers, and get even more nostalgic, even misty-eyed as we remember the said butt-kicking. Ahh, simple joy. We figured that's the idea behind the release of this latest vid from playstation.com, thus keeping this said fuzzy feeling alive until release day.
For those of you old enough to remember, Gain Ground is an arcade action game created introduced way back in 1988. The game's a simple "get to the other end of the map alive" setup. It has 20 characters to choose from, each having their own weapon sets and attributes, with the player allowed to pick three from this roster for the whole game.
See more in the read link for the trailer video for another game to expect in the Sega Genesis Collection.

It wasn't until the use of CD's that game pricing dropped.. Why complain about $40 for games now when they were $80-$100 ten years ago.
Don't pirate!
every time you pirate a game/movie/music file the industry gets poorer and poorer!
one person ain't gonna make a difference but when millions do it...

the game developers dont make much money, its oinly the corporate leaders and their bosses that do. Game developers often work full days with little sleep and if the game doesnt sell well they wont make much at all.

I hope for this game's success, 30 classic genesis games for like 20-somethingh, it's a very good value . Sure getting them for the with homebrew is cool but it's PIRACY, the company doesn't get any benefit (and NO, SEGA is not rich it's still recovering from a financial drought).
SO keep your advice to yourself, i'm buying this game.

Homebrew is for aps and original games like the ones you can see here like calculators and games maded by people with talent that want to show a really good idea, using it for piracy is WRONG,IS WRONG!!!!!.

How could the GBA, a 6 year old portable, have more games in development than the PSP? The PSP is only a year old. It supposed to be the "future" of portable entertainment.
And if sales don't matter, then why is the PSP getting beat by not one, but two seperate portables? (one of which is six years old)
You can cover your eyes and ears and pretend like nothing is wrong, or you can wake up and face the facts. The PSP is in big trouble. Sony exected to rule the portable market. Instead they are faced with a 3rd place disaster.
And whether you like it or not, EGM was right. Just go to the 1up.com forums and see for yourself.

Devs are even cancelling PSP accessories.
On the subject of cancelled PSP projects, I just saw a list naming 13 major devs who are giving up on their PSP projects. One of them was Ubi-Soft. I'll try to find it now just so you guys can stop arguing with Kutaragi.
