PSP - Image 1A newly-announced PlayStation Portable title aims to give players a view from the other side of the fence as they play as the very beings that most - if not all - RPGs task them to destroy.

Reminiscent of the 1997 PC strategy title Dungeon Keeper, Sony and Acquire's Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaiki da (which translates roughly to "For a Hero, You're Pretty Impudent") will put players in the role of the Demon King. The goal here is to create a dungeon, populate it with monsters and keep those meddling heroes from capturing you.

According to IGN, dungeons start out as a bunch of blocks seen in 2D overhead view. Players will then have to carve out caverns by selecting unwanted blocks with a cursor and putting monsters in them. Food must also be placed in the dungeons as monsters will only get stronger by eating.

All of the fighting in this game is done automatically. Apart from the single-player mode, Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaiki da also has a versus mode where players find out how well their dungeon design abilities stack up against a bunch of heroes edited by another player.

Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaiki da will launch in Japan on December 6.
