New Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep trailer confirms 2009 release

Square Enix has released a new video for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. While that in itself is good news for those eager to lap up any and all info about this game, we also got something better: a much tighter release window.

According to the new trailer, Birth By Sleep will be in Japanese retail stores this year, which effectively cuts down the Winter release window to December 2009. An overseas release has still not been confirmed, but Disney's bound to make Square Enix put out a localized version, maybe even as early as the first half of 2010 if everything goes well.

me want this faster I want Final Fantasy Versus faster, the best parts seem to be parts with Disney characters to me where there is an original story line and I want to see what Nomura can do with just original material and I have a feeling Versus is going to be great. So far he has only done character designing for FF one of them being the ones we all know and love from FF7 and also FFX cause I loved FFX. Versus is going to be his first time as director for an FF game.

if i buy a pspgo ill try and download it off the psn store but its good to see some aqua gameplay

and also think about this soras forms in kh2

they fight the same way in the forms so it could be a connection or reused ideas for a fighting system

I think this is gonna be the best psp game yet. The graphics look as good as the ones from KH and KHII, and the story looks really good too. Don't let me down Square Enix...

That looks wickedly awesome!

From the graphics and gameplay it looks like they used the same engine with Dissidia Final Fantasy which is cool by the way. Can't wait for a localize version of this one.

Kingdom Hearts sounds soooo much better in Japanese, American voice acting is terrible, save for some exclusions.

Seeing as how they haven't updated the Kingdom Hearts 2 website since BEFORE its release (certain parts still say "Coming Soon").

Also, does it really take 4 years to make a PSP game? There must have been all of 3 devs working on this, seeing as how I saw the first trailers a LONG time ago (and the secret video after KH2 was from BBS).

And whatever happened to KH3?! No plans? KH2 had a cliffhanger ending, with absolutely no information about what happens next. KH3 on ps3 would have been epic, but Squeenix is too stupid to follow this amazing series.

maybe because there was 3 titles that they produce at same time? (BBS,358/2 Days,Coded) including some final mix or some sort, manga,etc.. after the 2?

and on the recent interview, Tetsuya Nomura said some info's on BBS and one of them is the secret ending video which may refer to the next installment or the 3
