Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Image 1Krome Studios is hard at work making the PSP version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed a force to be reckoned with. Well, we picked up some new tidbits about the upcoming game based on an IGN Impressions article, and these features are certainly very impressive.

First off, players will be able to engage in four-way battles via the PSP's Ad-Hoc mode. There are currently three modes present for the game, and these are Frenzy, your typical deathmatch battle, Force Out, deathmatch on a small platform, and Rule the Galaxy, a King-of-the-Hill style setup.

More importantly, folks who grab the PSP version of the game will apparently be able to relive some important moments in Star Wars history with the inclusion of Historic Mode. In Historic Mode, you'll be able to play five classic scenes from the Star Wars films using the enhanced powers from The Force Unleashed.

Here's how IGN explains the Historic Mode's way of spicing up some important battles:

For example, you can play as Vader as he takes on Luke in the Cloud City carbonite chamber, and make use of things like Force Lightning or Force Choke. Players will be able to take on Mace Windu on Geonosis as he takes out a number of androids and eventually faces off with Jango Fett, or play through a section on Jabba's barge.

With interesting features like these, you can bet that the Force is strong in this one. Keep checking QJ for more updates on this game, and sharpen those lightsaber skills, because this game is coming out on April 1, 2008.

Whoa.. I can't wait to see how this turns out. I just hope they have found some middle ground with cam controls and player movement. April can't come any faster!
