New Dungeons & Dragons: Tactics Screenshots! |
Ó

OK, so we figured out that a gameplay video released yesterday was not enough for you guys. And we just received some new screenshots which we'd like to show you. Have a look at them:

The story of D&D Tactics deals with two dragons striving to achieve a godlike-status, with the player being caught deep between the conflict. Depending on what quests are completed and how characters align themselves, different endings can be achieved.
All of the regular D&D character classes will be present: The Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard, plus five "prestige" classes and two Psionic classes. Players can customize these classes, turning them into an individual character of which they can store as many as they want on the Memory Stick.
Dungeons & Dragons Tactics is slated for a Holiday 2006 release.

SILVER LOL
i hate the view, it seems like such a waste of screen, it's already hard to see things on handhelds, and this looks exceptionally dark and unnnerving. There's also a serious lack of variety, i mean all of the screen shots are in the exact same looking cave structure, i hope thats not the whole game. Well they still have time.

The maps look repetitive and lego-ish. I hope it at least brings a quest editor.
This game sucks, and even the gameplay suck. Tactics version of a game on a psp really going to suck. Thats the suck thing about it. Even the movies cinematics will suck. I will easy this game info out of this suck game( mind).
it seems really promising and there r alot of ppl out there that loves tactics games only complaint i have is that the menuse r in the middle of the screen would be so much better if they moved em just a little bit down the the left
Those are nasty graphics.
I've seen better graphics on a LUA game (exaggeration)
I can't believe a developer has actually released such horrid screenshots of their game..
And I think, judging by these screenshots, that this game will do about as much justice for D&D as the films did. That means, it's gonna tank. Horrible graphics. Menu looks like it's cluttering up the screen. And I've yet to find a video game version that actually uses all or even most of the rules from whatever happens to be the current version of D&D (3.5e right now). They always end up ignoring some rules, or outright changing them, in order to make it easier to code the game. Finally, because a video game is basically hard-coded, it lacks the flexibility that you get with the pencil & paper version of D&D, which is half the fun of it.
Those screenshots look like crap. So bad that I thought this game was for the DS at first. Might as well of made it for the DS if they aren't going to take advantage of the PSPs power.
I think those current graphics look dated and trashy. What they need to do is completely rework the graphics and possibly the gameplay engine. If they want a good working model of what would for this type of game, they need to take a look at, Monster Hunter Freedom/Portable for the psp. That game has a very very good play engine and a superior graphics engine. I hope the developers and programmers read this thread and heed some of the feedback here. After all, we are the one's that they are making the game for right?
