Last week, Konami unveiled the reinvention of its first Silent Hill classic, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Today, we've got the first artwork of the game, headed to the PS2, PSP, and Wii. We've also picked up on more interesting gameplay details, particularly on the extensive use of the Wiimote for controls.

It appears that the Wiimote will also be used as a torch and a cellphone. For the torch function, Mason will have to shine on the dark crevices of the famed Silent Hill abandoned buildings. The cellphone function, on the other hand, will act as a secondary user interface, which will allow the players to accesss maps via the GPS. You can also take pictures with it.

Another new feature of Shattered Memories is the element of psyche profile, which monitors every aspect of player's reactions. The psyche profile will be adapting to Harry's actions when he meets both humans and inhuman residents of Silent Hill.

Both the PSP and PS2 versions will be making use of the more familiar controls, but will also carry the new additions to the features.

You can expect Silent Hill: Shattered Memories to shatter your gaming calm this coming Autumn. And as promised, here are the screenshots and artworks for you to take a gander at.
