New Aliens vs. Predator title announced by Sega |
Ó
Which side are you on? Team Aliens or Team Predators? You might want to decide soon as Sega has announced that an all-new Aliens vs. Predator game is set to come out in early 2010. It's still in development at this point, but rest assured that developer Rebellion is working hard on it.Rebellion was also the same folks who created the 1999 Aliens versus Predator title. Sega West CEO Naoya Tsurumi says,
It represents a fantastic addition to our growing Aliens franchise and the reinvention of one of gaming's most cherished iconic titles. By adjusting the release of our other Aliens titles to accommodate it, Sega will ensure that every title lives up to the high expectations of Aliens and AvP fans.
Aliens vs. Predator is just the working title for the game at this point, and it still has yet to be announced which specific platforms it'll be on. But Sega promises to come out with more details soon, so we'll be sure to update you on those.

Not another one. AVPR sucked balls (both the movie and the PSP game).
I didn't mind AVP:R, and if you were expecting a good movie to game adaptation, I fell sorry for you. It's usually a quick way to make a buck off the name when they release at the same time (Iron Man, Hulk, Transformers).
Hopefully this one will be as good as it's predecessor.
I've always loved the Alien and Predator universes, hopefully someday there will finally be an Alien based game that does not suck. Maybe it'll be this one
There was one good Alien/Alien v Predator title for the PC back in the day, but that was the only one. Can't recall its name
Is that Aliens: Colonial Marines project still on? It looked decent
itll have awesome online
My personal favorite Alien or Predator game was Capcom's Alien Vs Predator arcade game from 1994. Easily my favorite 2D scrolling fighter (even better than Streets of Rage 2 and Capcom's own The Punisher) and runs beautifully under emulation too.
That one was pretty good, very challenging
I think the PC games I'm thinking of were just called Alien versus Predator. They were great
Now I think about it, one of my favorite gaming moments ever, happened with one of the PC AvP games. Friend of mine had two PC's in his dining room and another friend came over with his own one to set up too and we had a local network game of it. They were both marines, and I was an alien and making use of the crawling the walls and ceiling abilities. And they knew I was nearby but they didn't know where. Their radar thing was going crazy, and they lit a flare, only to see me standing right in front of them and bite both their brains out. If this had been a regular online game in different towns rather than in the same room I would never had the satisfaction of hearing two grown men screaming like little girls... precious memories
