That picture in the middle shows a sign that points toward the Convention Center, it's a trick though, so I didn't follow it.

So finally I stumble across the Center, more by luck than anything else (some dude in a creepy copy shop gave me directions) and wouldn't you know it, I can't find a way in. After spending 15 minutes looking for an entrance I find the rear loading dock of the Expo Center and just stroll on in like I own the place.

   
Sure it looks like it's just across the street, but in reality there are rabid polar bears hiding behind all those cars just... waiting.

Alright! Videogame posters, must be getting close now! But where the heck is the front door?

       

So I finally made it inside, still acting like I should be there I wander around taking pictures of anything with a game logo on it. A french dude in a black security shirt looks at me funny... I look back at him. He looks at the camera and walks over "Arr yoo teking peektures?" He asks. "No stupid, I just like holding my camera up to my face!" (I think to myself, but don't say out loud). "Prezz iz allowed onlyy tomorrow". He walks off brusquely. "Whatever." I think, and walk off to take more pics.

       

   
No, I don't have the faintest idea why there's a life size helicopter in front of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

What an adventure! Simply finding the Center was an ordeal in and of itself, but it was really something to walk in there and see giant posters for all your favorite videogames. Crates being moved, booths set up, people from all over the world speaking in French, German, Japanese... it's cool to know that everyone here takes games seriously. The show starts tomorrow, and you can tell it's gearing up to be something special.
