So a new Astro Boy video game is in the works for the Wii, DS and PSP, as announced a couple of months back. However, the unfortunate news is that the PSP version of Astro Boy: The Video Game will be the only one released in Japan.

Cameron Rains, producer at High Voltage Software, confirmed that Japan will be getting only the PSP version of the game but did not provide an explanation as to why the land of the rising sun won't be getting this boy-with-a-machine-gun-on-his-butt on the Wii. The DS version is not handled by High Voltage.

As to what the reason could be, we can only guess. But in the meantime, why don't you enjoy these new screenshots?

Just keep killing your system and wonder why we homebrew enable the device.

My god you're dumb, the article is about japan, it never said anything about a US release. Stop making up news just because you have an axe to grind with sony.

Was just playing the rather good GBA game from a few years ago on my PSP the other day. It's by Treasure who did the excellent Radiant Silvergun and Gunstar Heroes and the massively overrated tedious dull piece of garbage Ikaruga...
