Video Business Online is reporting that 20th Century Fox is in advance negotiations to release DODGEBALL, PREDATOR, I, ROBOT, SUPER TROOPERS and NAPOLEON DYNAMITE on UMD. Furthermore, the trade paper is also claiming that Universal Studios and Paramount may have titles out by mid-summer. No word from Warner Bros., New Line Cinema or other independent studios as to whether they will join the UMD craze any time soon.

Sony President Ben Feingold suggested in an interview with Video Business Online that "by the end of the year most, if not all, of the studios will be releasing movies on PSP. For a format to be successful, it?s important to have a broad product offering. We?ve been working with all the studios to help them get up to speed on releasing product."

Sony has just unveiled their next UMD releases for June 14th and June 28th. On June 14th, PSP owners can pick up THE GRUDGE, BAD BOYS, SPIDER-MAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES - MUTANT MENACE and DADDY DAY CARE. Two weeks later on the 28th, consumers can take home CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, RESIDENT EVIL, STARSHIP TROOPERS and AIR FORCE ONE.

On June 21st, Disney/Buena Vista/Dimension will be releasing to the UMD format KING ARTHUR: THE EXTENDED UNRATED DIRECTOR?S CUT, HOSTAGE, CURSED, and TRON. On July 19th, PSP owners can expect FROM DUSK TIL DAWN, GONE IN 60 SECONDS: UNRATED DIRECTOR?S CUT, KILL BILL VOL.2, and ARMAGEDDON on store shelves.

THE INCREDIBLES is expected on the UMD format before Christmas
