Celebrating shipping three million copes of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is a very pleased Capcom, who saw this PSP title stay in the Japanese software charts for months, not to mention getting a Double Platinum Award at the 2008 PlayStation Awards! For that, Capcom says, "Thank You!" and they're giving everyone a chance to join in on the festivities with some cool stuff.

Japanese gamers can head over to the official site (link below) and answer a simple quiz and get a chance to win either a ¥ 5000 (about US$ 50) Gourmet Card Gift Coupon, or a nice shirt that says "Over 3 Million!!!" at the back. Congrats to the Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G team and to Capcom!

This game truly deserves great sales and good profits for your company. If you haven't played this version or any of the other games out of this series, you are missing out. Lets hope that the international release of MHP2G *Unite* comes soon!

Screw other languages, English is the dominating language and should be the ONLY language ever!

mandarin is the dominating language. and i think most jap games should stay in jap, but have english subs and menu etc.

# Huttese language FTW!!!ov3rkill 2009-03-18 18:30
fvck english, fvck mandarin, fvck cantonese, fvck japanese languages... Huttese language (Jabba the Hut language) is the best language ever. haha j/k

yeah, monster hunter portable 2g deserves it and props to capcom for creating such an epic game. Don't worry for those of you who wanted to have an english version release like me, if you have a CFW psp then you probably know that there's a translation patch for those who don't, worry not since Monster Hunter Unite will be coming soon. I just hope it was released sooner though. I bet it would become platinum too had it been released simultaneously or just weeks and/or months after the jap version. who knows, they coud've made profit from it. but then again, it's never too late right? better late than never i guess.

MH Unite is the Pal/international release or MHP2g. Unite is also supposed to feature a new tunneling system to allow muti-player through a PS3 using remote play. Im guessing that is what is delaying its release.

To answer ov3rkill, if you have a cfw psp there is an english patch, and its really, REALLY good. Here is a link to it.... http://www.teamhgg.org/

I gave Monster Hunter a go and it's really not for me. A bit too RPG and not enough just plain hack n slash. But I like how succesful it is in Japan and keeping sales of PSP nice and high lately it would seem. Good job Capcom and thanks again for SFIV you skillful (if money grabbing) folk.
