Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G - Image 1Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, the game's that's got Japan going all crazy for the PSP, is going to be released in North America, with spankin new title to boot: Monster Hunter Portable Unite.

This piece of news has been expected for some time now, as Capcom has been dropping some heavy hints since last month.

You may also have heard how Sony will be introducing a new feature that will let you have online play in formerly ad-hoc-only PSP games. Of course you've heard of it. It's big news. Well, United will be one of the first titles to have this feature.

I don't think it needs to be said that this game is big in Japan. But I'll say it anyway. I'll even give you some big numbers. Capcom's let it be made known that they've shipped 2.5 million copies of the game since going on sale last March. Its massive success even gave a strong kick to PSP sales in the region when it was released.

No release date for the game as of yet, but you can be sure we'll let you know when a release date's out.

» Good to see it is finally heading our way

I think it's good to see it's finally coming to NA, but it would be good if it came with Infrastructure play instead of this BS need to buy a PS3 just for online play.

Still, I do think I've enjoyed MHF enough that I would buy (and probably preorder) this game for when I finally get the time to play through it.

You need a PS3 to play MHF2 online? Good god that's terrible.

» Great! or Great?

Well may be they know that and they just know for sure that this game is not Played only in the Japan and China, but Worldwide too!

And what more than English language for all the game, even if MH2nd G is translated partially, They just want to make an official US Game of this Release, or make more money for the same ***** with other name, but thanks to the P.U.S.S4Y

(PSP UMD Sharing System 4 Yall) This is not going to be so Big!, At least for us but I bet some Chinese and Japanese guys go to byuy this one just because of the name. lol!

Who knows, maybe they add Freaking Online Gameplay!

Instead of using XlinkAi that always is a trouble to set up...

O well Glad I know this!

» Wow it's coming out, that's a relief

If it racks up decent sales here in the U.S. maybe we'll get a future release of wanted and needed expansions

Although I'm at Hr 9 and solo and slay everything except Crimson, and White Fatalis I'll buy this game when it's reaches U.S. shores. As a collector of know great games, its always nice to have an english copy on the shelf

by papajag - 2008-10-08 21:48
» yup

» No way! Jap to US region save change? No way!

Well You are fu ck UP!

I don't think they will make a Convertor for Japanese MHP 2nd G to US MHFU!

They did with jap MHP 2 to MHF 2?

NOP!

SO don't expect that, it cannot be done

Regions are different.

That's that

U will have to play from the Begining.

» Sorry no sale here!

I have MHF2 and i love the game but i have nobody to play it with it seems the game was almost made to be multiplayer. I know one other person with psp and they dont have the game. Playing this game singleplayer has gotten kinda boring. I hate to say it but theres no way im gonna buy a ps3 for a psp title lol. If capcom really wanted to make this game a hit in the US they should add voip to the game and infrastructure. I hate to say it capcom but no sale from me until you add infrastructure to a game that is based to be a multiplayer game.

There is no reason you can't just play regular Ad-Hoc. Besides, it probably also has infrastructure mode.
