Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G details: release date, PSP bundle - Image 1

Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G was first revealed by Capcom at this year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS). In a nut shell, this is an expansion to the successful Monster Hunter Portable 2nd. After almost two months of being silent, details for the anticipated title suddenly surfaced.

Accordingly, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G will be released in Japan in March 2008. Some of the features that has been enhanced and added upon in 2nd G include new stages, monsters, and most interesting of all, new "elements in the full content of the previous work".

We are quite uncertain what exactly "element" means since the whole Famitsu article was in Japanese. Aside from already mentioned, it was also said that your save data in Monster Hunter Portable 2nd can be used or converted to begin your adventure in the expansion.

Finally, it was reported as well that a new PSP bundle will be available with the launch of the new title. There is still no word, unfortunately, if Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G will see an international release.

Well, I'm terrible at Japanese, but here's my best shot. Pretty much everything was already said in your post:

Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G confirmed for release March 2008!

New style PSP in a pack for release simultaneously!

Nation-wide, hunters have been expectantly waiting for the PSP's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G release date, and it's now been confirmed as March, 2008! Furthermore, the game and a new style PSP will be available in a set. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G pack is also released at the same time, with something evident. The original went on sale in February, 2007 and was the first million seller on PSP. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is a continuation. There are new stages and monsters added, and there is a new component fully loaded into the game. It is also possible to import an old save file.
