Mobile Suit: Gundam vs. Gundam sells 240,594 copies in first week |
Ó
Those who've got Mobile Suit: Gundam vs. Gundam have reasons to celebrate as Namco Bandai's giant title makes giant strides in sales, selling 240,594 copies on its first week, according to Enterbrain. The rest of us can just watch trailers and wish we were one of those 240,594 people.
It's not the week's best-seller, though. Animal Crossing: City Folk sold 303,204, and Chrono Trigger sold 276,049. It is, however, the best performance for a PSP game since Phantasy Star Portable sold a monster 340,000 back in August.
As for now, I'll content myself with watching Wing until I somehow manage to get one.

This game fails me, I've always wanted/liked something like this.
All kinds of gundam/non-gundam mecha (Superrobots) figthing game. Instead of those SRW eyecandy games.
This game fails me because lack of content, not enough mobile suits and the same boring "story mode" (I don't know a ***** of japanese though, but I do know about the story of each gundam)
I've never played a PS2 gundam game because:
1. Region protection
2. Nobody sells them, I don't have a CC or paypal*****
3. By the time that I know of the game its outdated.
Just cut the crap and bring/port ACE or something to the psp
Import Gundam Battle Universe for the PSP. Tons of unlockable content. The storyline that the game follows is 0079, 0083, 0087, 0088, and 0093 with a ton of unlockable mobile suits from up to F91 and another.
Gundam Battle Chronicle, Royale, and Tactics are the same with less maps, missions, and less to unlock.
Also, if you live in the US territories, here's a list of good Gundam games. All for PS2.
Encounters in Space
Federation vs. Zeon(amazing campaign mode)
Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam
Zeonic Front
Journey to Jaburo(if you get used to the control)
If you live in PAL territories here's a list of good Gundam games.
Federation vs Zeon.
If you can somehow Import.
Another Century Episode(also other series)
Another Century Episode 2(also other series)
One Year War
Lost War Chronicles
Climax UC
I'd personally avoid everything else, especially Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow. Rengou vs ZAFT is fun but I can't really get into the game solely because I hate the series.
I've been playing it almost non-stop since it arrived from Japan last week and I love it. If you want other mech fighting games than Macross Ace Frontier is an excellent choice - not quite the same variety of mechs, but more variety in combat as you have ground and air battles.
I also enjoyed Rengou vs ZAFT, but unlike Kupomogli I enjoyed SEED (probably because it was the first Gundam I'd seen other than F91, and that sucked something awful anyway). I'd say that R vs Z is the faster of the two games.
It's an arcade game, what did you expect?
I for one, just buy the Japanese version of the console and the game; it's pretty expensive but worth it (for me).
