MLB-08: The Show - Image 1

On the PlayStation blog, the producer of Sony Computer Entertainment's MLB 08: The Show (PS3, PSP), Jason Villa, discussed a few topics that fans of the game will probably be interested in: the music in the game as well as the upcoming demo.

It seems that MLB 08: The Show will feature customizable playlists. This means that the game will actually allow users to play music they have stored on either their PSP memory sticks or on their PS3's hard drives.

While the developers opted to allow this, the soundtrack of the game itself seems pretty solid. Expect to find music from top artists including The Ramones, WAR, A Tribe Called Quest, Queens of the Stone Age, ZZ Top.

Aside from the music, gamers who want to try out MLB 08: The Show can expect to download a demo for it by February 14. If you'd rather wait for the full game though, expect it to be released by March 4 this year.

It's so awesome that they are starting to let you play your own music in game...No matter how good the soundtrack is for a game it gets old after a while....Really looking forward to this one...

» So true

This is a pretty good feature that other sports games should also have
