"Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" the movie seems to be well on its way to the silver screen. Reportedly tapped to be at its helm is "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" director, Mike Newell.

Reportedly, it was Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer who handpicked Newell for the project, and that the executives have already met at the studio to discuss the movie. The script is penned by Jeffrey Nachmanoff of "The Day After Tomorrow" fame, and in collaboration with videogame creator Jordan Mechner. With talks already underway, it is only a matter of time before negotiations begin, we expect.
