MGS Portable Ops plus website - Image 1

Here's when an expansion gets expanded even further. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus (MPO+ for the acronym-inclined) has many features in itself and Konami's expansion to MPO leaves many of us wanting for more. Today's update contains a lot of content... mostly, however, in Japanese.

Firstly, Konami's official site for the game is now live. You can head right on over to the Read link below to view it. Once you get in, you're tasked to register your Portable Ops ID (oh just make something up) and once you get into the main site itself, your mouse point turns into crosshairs. Shoot the blasted Kerotan frogs around the map and various sections of the site become accessible. Sections are arranged clockwise from the right-most frog:
  • Support for beginners
  • Unique Characters (screencapped above: Raiden, Old Snake, and Roy Campbell)
  • MGS: Portable Ops Plus PlayStation Premier 2007 Japanese trailer
  • Infinity Mission
  • New maps
Now while we leave it up to you to explore the site for yourselves (it's got tons of screenshots, btw), we'll also be leaving you with a Japanese promotional video for MGS: Portable Ops Plus embedded below. Enjoy!

» just as an FYI

there are more than 5 frogs. 2 are hidden. the kerotan icon on the right that fills up with color when you are near one will be completely full when you can shoot the 2 hidden ones.

one is on the front ledge of the building at the top of the "closest" ramp. the other is in the open space in front of the bus. or behind. i can't tell which is the front or back.

» just to make sure

is this MGSPO with additional content (ala Subsistence) or is it just extra content minus some of the original stuff? I had MGSPO but never got to finish it because it got stolen along with my PSP. I'm going to buy one of the slim models, and was going to just buy MGSPO, but since this is coming out, I need to know whether i should buy PO+

I just created a petition to get Valve Software to

create a Counter-Strike game for the PSP.
