Metal Gear Solid hits Euro PSN this week, says Konami Germany |
A rough translation of the press release states that the PSOne original will be released on November 19 for € 9.99. It's apparently in preparation for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker's eventual release.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH gibt die Veröffentlichung von vier Metal Gear Solid Klassikern über Sonys PlayStation(R)Network bekannt. Anlass für diese Neuigkeit ist auch der näher rückende Release von Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker für PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable).
Den Anfang macht ein Klassiker der Videospielgeschichte und der einflussreichste Titel jüngerer Zeit: Die original PSone Version von Metal Gear Solid erscheint am 19. November für 9,99 Euro als Download. Metal Gear Solid markiert den ersten Schritt der Serie in eine komplett in 3D gestaltete Spielumgebung und begründete den Ruhm von Hideo Kojima als Entwickler von Weltformat.

"Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH announces the release of four Metal Gear Solid Classics over Sony's Playstation® Network. The reason for this arrival is the upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP® (Playstation® Portable). The beginning makes a Classic of videogame history and the most influental title of the more recent time. The original PSone version of Metal Gear Solid will arrive on 19th November for 9.99 Euros as Download. Metal Gear Solid marks the first step in the series in a completely three-dimensional game environment and established the Glory of Hideo Kojima as developer on world level." I think with "more recent time" they mean the 3D era.
I forgot to add the UK price: If we compare it with FFVII, which is 9.99 Euros in the EU store, this one will most likely be £7.99.
I already bought this on the US store so i've had the game for quite some time. :)
Why? I "hit" my PSP with MGS1 like 3 years ago.
The best game on Playstation 1 for me, i remember completing this game 3 times in a row to see if it did anything special, it did the 2nd time around, but not 3rd sadly. I do hope that the back cover of the game is available to view, somehow. (Hint Hint).

as i couldn't figure out what to do when you sneak inside the metal gear rex...if I'm not mistaken and poof triggers the death gas T_T ......after 10 fail attempts i moved on to finaly fantasy Vlll
