Well, good news is that the Jump Festa event in Japan is coming soon. The bad news is that the woe-of-woes Square Enix Closed Mega Theater will make its presence felt. So says the official Jump Festa site.

[insert collective sigh here]

And as Square Enix fans know, the Closed Mega Theater means that any and all trailers shown in it will not be open to the public. No form of media will be able to sneak out. Or at least, the ushers will probably use all means necessary to thwart all efforts of the audiences to sneak out some bootleg videos.

Heh. And though there may be an off-chance that a leaked video will eventually surface on YouTube, the admins over there usually take the videos down after a while.

Chances are, if you can't make it to Japan to attend the event and want a clear copy of the trailer, you can wait a few months before they officially reveal it on the game's website... or... fork over some money to buy a DVD with all those trailers. Blargh.

As you may remember, pretty much all of Square Enix's upcoming (or recently released) games will be getting trailers during Jump Festa '09 (see lineup here). This year's Jump Festa event for 2009 is scheduled on December 20-21.

Square and Enix

Sometimes I wish they were still 2 separate companies. I wish they would make a next gen Actraiser or at least remake the old ones with updated graphics. Those were kickass games.

on that thought

It would be great to see a Square Enix compilation. It could have Actraiser, the original Grandia, and some of there more obscure games.

Maaan

Actraiser's one of the best sidescrollers ever! I actually included the main character as one of my "hopefuls" in Dissidia's roster. LOL As for other Enix games.... Wouldn't mind seeing Illusion of Gaia again too. Oh. And a new Bust-a-Groove please. Dance Summit 2001 doesn't count. It doesn't have Shorty. You can't have a Bust-a-Groove game without Shorty!!! Hahaha! ^_^

Don't worry Gino

Gino this won't make a difference to you anyway seeing as you'll be too busy playing Dissidia!!! Ah no news on it today:( Hey are you gonna be AdHoc Partying? Or will you be Xlink Kai-ing?

No.

People have to stop begging for a remake of FFVII. It was a great game in its time, but in today's standards, it's only a good one. If you guys really want to play it, just play the original game through POPS.
