Meet the titans in Crash of the Titans |
Ó
Some of the larger enemies (titans, as they're called) can be jacked by Crash to make them do his bidding. While it may seem like a no-brainer to just keep taking over opponents, it is very important to choose the right titan for each stage. To help you make your decision, here are some facts (with screenshots) about each one:
The first enemy on the list is the Ratcicle, one of the biggest assets of Neo Cortex's mutant army. After you jack it, you gain the Freeze Punks ability which launches two ice beams that will freeze anything it hits. The unit is listed with a threat level of three out of a maximum of five making it a good all around mount.
The second titan - Scorporilla - looks like a cross between a scorpion and a gorilla (duh!). Rumor has it that even Neo Cortex feels nervous when around these behemoths. While jacking one of these creatures is no easy task, it is well worth the effort. The special ability this mount gives Crash is called Ground and Pound, a move which has your new best friend pounding the island with both hands sending a dust cloud at your foes. No one will question the fact that it is rated at a threat level of four out of five.
Up next is the Snipe. This strange combination between a bird and a fox were created by Neo Cortex himself and serve their role both as fire support and fast acting berserker. If you are fast enough to get close and jack one, you'll be able to use the Gambler's Hand which allows you to fire multiple razor sharp feathers at multiple targets. With a rating of three out of five, this is another mount that should serve you well in your adventures.
The fourth titan, called the Spike, is one of Neo Cortex's favorite followers. This porcupine spliced with a crab is extremely aggressive and well...pointy. If you do jack this unit, you'll be able to make use of Spike's Surprise, an attack which unleashes spikes from the ground to puncture your enemies. While rated with a relatively low score of two out of five, there will be times when you'll be needing to use this unit.
The final titan, Arachnina, is the largest, meanest, and deadliest of all the titans. This unit was originally purchased by Cortex as a pet for Nina. She decided that it would be more fun after a "few" modifications. If you are able to jack this creature, you'll have the pleasure of being able to Robotomize. This ability transforms the titan into a giant laser-totting spider which rampages across the map leaving death and destruction in its wake. With a rating of five out of five, this creature is perhaps the best mount you can get in the game.
Crash of the Titans is slated for release this October 2 this year. It will be followed by an Australian and European release later on October 26.
